informed the customer who returned them and told her that she had a week to locate the items and if not, we would charge her credit card. She gave me her credit card number and signed the shortage report acknowledging that the items were missing. We never heard back from her a week later, so I called the only phone number we had on record, which was her brother (it was for a wedding and he was the contact). I told him we were going to charge the card on file, and he said no problem. After the charge was done, the customer’s wife called in and said that they never received all of the plates to begin with and therefore shouldn’t pay for losing them. I asked why nobody ever told us that on the 3 occasions we talked to them. She said they weren’t aware of it until after the fact. Then I asked why they didn’t call us and tell us once they knew, and she said she acknowledged they had bad communication. Basically, we have all of the required signatures and never heard there were any problems until weeks after the event. There is nothing that we could do about it at that point. We had multiple people count the items and know we gave them the correct quantities. I hope this helps. Let me know if you need anything else. Review: I recently rented plates, glasses and utensils from this company for my wedding. We had ordered 2 different types of plates - 85 of each. When we got to the venue to set up we realized we had only received 80 of each. When we returned the plates we made them aware of the issue - that they did not give us the amount we ordered and paid for. Their customer service told us we were wrong and were unwilling to discuss the issue. Without our authorization they charged our debit card $60.50 for the replacement of the plates we never received.Desired Settlement: I would like to be refunded for the charge of the 10 plates.
