Ran out of oil and called to get an emergency fill this afternoon - I was told someone would be out shortly and they would call back. After Two hours, no call- my husband called their office again to check, we were again told that a truck would be out after their current service call. Two more hours- no truck....we called again, after being given the run around for 15minutes, we were THEN informed, we were originally lied to. No one was coming to deliver fuel and no one would be available to come until Monday- two days no heat because they lied. Had we been told no one was in the FIRST time, we may have been able to reach another company. Now it's almost 9pm, and we have no options but to freeze till Monday now! Outrageous!
During agreed upon removal of my oil tank from the basement in my home the external door frame and threshold were damaged by the excessive weight of the tank crossing over it. After contacting Apgar and discussing this and having them send a technician to the house they concluded their work did not cause this????? After they left hurriedly following the tank removal even though the door was not close to closing let alone latching closed. I had to hire an additional contractor to come and twist and force the frame to get the deadbolt partially fastened and closed. It will now need complete replacement to return to the condition it was in PRIOR to the tank removal.

Apgar Oil Company is very concerned about ***'s complaint. We spoke to the 4 members of our installation team ,which have over 100 years of combined experience in tank removal and installation and not 1 person agrees with ***'s assessment. When our team got to the home the door was already removed, therefore, the service techs have no idea how the door was closing prior to their arrival. No one on the team said they even touched the door frame when removing the tank. Once we received the complaint from *** we went back and took pictures only to find the striker point on the door jab was not aligned prior to our coming into the home. We respectfully disagree with Mr.Levy's account of our installation. Apgar Oil Co Inc. prides itself in excellent customer service and want to make every customer satisfied with our work where it is warranted.

I am rejecting this response because:This business has of course said all four technicians do not agree with mr because THEY are the crew who damaged my door frame. This has nothing to do with the door itself but with the frame that was damaged due to EXCESSIVE weight being rolled over the threshold. There is absolutely no way the tank could have been taken out thus door WITHOUT it being rolled over the frames threshold base. THIS is what specifically caused the problem of me now Being unable to close my exterior door properly. NOTHING they can come up with as an excuse will correct the current damage to this frame. I now have to pay a contractor to come in and replace this frame with a new one!!!!! I was willing to work with this vendor as far as paying for the work but they have now called me a liar straight up and this is unacceptable to me!!!!
