To whom it may concern:
This letter is in response to the complaint filed against me by the ***'s
I had two separate meetings with the ***'s and employees from *** ***, the company that provided the yardage of concrete
During these meeting Mr***'s began cursing at me and was very discouragingAt every meeting he was drinking and seemed to be inebriatedAlso at both meeting the ***'s were told that there is nothing structurally wrong with the concrete, by the employees from *** ***
The first pour that was completed on June 21, was the patio, part of the driveway and side entrance to the garageAfter the patio was completed Mrs*** complimented the workThe second pour that was completed was the driveway, curb on the driveway, approach and sidewalk up to front stoopThat was completed on June 29, After further review of the property I noticed that without a curb the neighbors yard would run onto the driveway if something was not there to stop itWhen discussing this with the ***'s they agreed to have the curb put inThe curb was not listed on the estimate and they were not charged with for the curb
The day the concrete was finished, Mrs*** decided she didn't like any of itWe talked everything overLater that evening I received a call from Mr*** who said everything was fineHe took his wife out to look for patio furnitureOver the next several days, it was going back and forth of what they wanted to doI offered to take out the curb as they really seemed not to like the curb, and Mr*** told me "don't touch anything." I also offered to take out the front sidewalk up to the stoop to make them happy and they refused
The last day I was there to finish backfilling the dirt on the property, they were utilizing the patio with new patio furniture
I have offered to take out the curb, and was told "don't touch anything." I offered to take out the front sidewalk up to the stoopThey didn't want that outI have tried to work with the clientsThey are not willing to budgeThey have not paid in full for the services or materialsI am not going to keep spending my own money on something they have been told on two separate occasions that nothing is structurally wrong with the concreteI really don't feel that anything will make them happy unless they get it for free
To date I have only received $of the $final billThis would leave a balance of $I have filed a Lien against their property (you have a copy that was faxed 6/18/2015) to obtain the money owedIf they would like to pay the full balance due, I will be more than happy to work with them, within reasonHowever, I will not work with them if they are going to curse me out repeatedly and criticizing my workThey will also need to sign off on what we agree onIf we decided to take the curb out I would need that in writingI have never had to deal with anyone like them in the years I have been doing concrete work
