Apogee New Dawn assume prop mgmt of Parkland Commons when Dasmen Residential bought the property this year It took weeks for grass to get cut while mgmt supposedly was working out a contract with landscapers Most troubling is headache involved in getting work orders completed I placed work order for a screen door and specifically told the manager I had an alarm and they needed to call me before entering apartment A week went by and I went to office to check on status of order The rep present told me they had left message on my phone and acted as if the screen was ready I checked my home and work phone and no message A few days later I stopped by and the manager said they were waiting on a part for the screen I again reiterated they needed to call me so I can leave off alarm I wait another week and call The rep places work order again just in case the first one didn't go through He says he will have maintenance call or either he himself will call with update I return home to find a CMPD notice on my door about a alarm PLEASE NOTE THAT I HAD LEFT A YELLOW POST IT BESIDE THE LOCK ON MY DOOR WITH WORDS "MAINTENANCE, PLEASE CALL BEFORE ENTERING APARTMENT"  I go to the office and manager (who first took my work order along with hearing me tell her about my alarm) says guy didn't see note It was a yellow post it well-taped right beside where one sticks in the key Plus, alarm or pet issues were supposed to be on the work order Of course, the screen doesn't fit So I told them to keep it, I would buy one or do without This is very vexing as when the place was known as Park Commons, the staff was very competent and efficient One call and work orders would be completed w/i 1-days  To add more misery to the situation, the office is closed on weekends except for the first Sat in the month I come home Aug to find carpet soaked near AC unit I left message on emergency maintenance line (BTW the message on that line still had the "The complex doesn't have power" spiel from last month's power outage) and someone actually showed up within minutes Maintenance fixed the problem but told me it would be Friday or Monday before someone could come to dry out wet carpet Why should it take two days or more to have someone come dry my carpet?  To add fat to the fire of disorganization, this maintenance rep said she was unable to enter my apartment earlier that day (I had placed work order about AC that morning) because "She didn't have a key."  The maintenance manager had quit and no one knew where the keys were - he may have kept them in a shed?   Spare keys to residents' apartments are floating out there in the universe?  WHY aren't these keys in the manager's office anyway????  Maintenance should sign out key when doing work order and sign it back in at manager's office when work order completed Of course I try to call office while at work Friday but get placed on hold (you never get a live person, it's always a recording that places you on hold) twice I left a message with assistant manager inquiring about when carpet would be dried out and of course received no reply I've lived in apts in states since the 80s and NEVER experienced the unresponsiveness and outright incompetence of management like I have now at Parkland Commons The place is turning into a dump fast - literally as furniture and other large items are overflowing near the dumpster I asked the office about why no one had picked up this junk and the assistant manager said the company that picks up such refuse only comes twice a month Well,  that pile of [redacted] was there last month and the pile has grown and it is now Aug and I will bet money it will be Sept and the pile of [redacted] will still be there BTW, it is Aug and my carpet is still wet

Dasmen Residential hired a Apogee New Dawn to manage Parkland Commons Apts. Once Apogee took over, it took 3 weeks for grass to get cut while mgmt supposedly worked out a contract with landscapers. More troubling is headache involved in getting work orders completed. I placed a work order for a screen door and specifically told the manager I had an alarm and they needed to call me before entering apartment. A week went by and I went to office to check on status of order. The rep present told me they had left message on my phone and acted as if the screen was ready. I checked my home and work phone and no message was left. A few days later I stopped by and the manager was there. Manager said they were waiting on a part for the screen. I again reiterated they needed to call me so I can leave off alarm. I wait another week and call. The rep places work order again just in case the first one didn't go through. He says he will have maintenance call or either he will call with update. I return home to find a CMPD notice on my door about a false alarm. PLEASE NOTE THAT I HAD LEFT A YELLOW POST IT BESIDE THE LOCK ON MY DOOR WITH WORDS "MAINTENANCE, PLEASE CALL BEFORE ENTERING APARTMENT." I return to office and manager (who first took my work order along with hearing me tell her about my alarm) says guy didn't see note. It was a yellow post it well-taped right beside where one sticks in the key. To make matters worse, the screen doesn't fit. So I told them to keep screen, I would either buy one or do without. This is vexing; when the place was known as Park Commons, the staff was very competent and efficient. One call and work orders were completed w/i 1-2 days. Aug 3, the upstairs apt water heater leaked and my entry way carpet area was soaked. Maintenance fixed the problem but informed me it would be Friday or Monday before someone could come to dry wet carpet. Why should it take 2+ days to have the carpet dried? Also, maintenance said she was unable to enter my apartment earlier that day (I had placed work order about AC that morning) because "She didn't have a key." The maintenance manager had quit and no one knew where the keys were - he may have kept them in a shed? Spare keys to residents' apartments are floating out there in the universe? Aug 8 and no one has come to dry carpet. I stop by office everyone is clueless as usual. I had to stop by office because I tried calling 4 times between 3:35 and 3:55 and no one answered; I got a "Thank you for calling and was put on hold with Muzak. This happens far too often. If one had a real maintenance emergency, there would be no way to access emergency voicemail until it kicks in after hours. I sent an email to assistant manager to voice my concerns as he was familiar with the carpet work order and have not received any reply. Unresponsive management, trash piled up by the compactor for weeks (furniture and related apt deritus - this is only picked up twice monthly and when it is, several remnants of trash remain), and a general feeling of no one gives a hoot is the life under Apogee New Dawn.

Apogee New Dawn assume prop mgmt of Parkland Commons when Dasmen Residential bought the property this year.  It took 3 weeks for grass to get cut while mgmt supposedly was working out a contract with landscapers.  Most troubling is headache involved in getting work orders completed.  I placed work order for a screen door and specifically told the manager I had an alarm and they needed to call me before entering apartment.  A week went by and I went to office to check on status of order.  The rep present told me they had left message on my phone and acted as if the screen was ready.  I checked my home and work phone and no message.  A few days later I stopped by and the manager said they were waiting on a part for the screen.  I again reiterated they needed to call me so I can leave off alarm.  I wait another week and call.  The rep places work order again just in case the first one didn't go through.  He says he will have maintenance call or either he himself will call with update.  I return home to find a CMPD notice on my door about a false alarm.  PLEASE NOTE THAT I HAD LEFT A YELLOW POST IT BESIDE THE LOCK ON MY DOOR WITH WORDS "MAINTENANCE, PLEASE CALL BEFORE ENTERING APARTMENT. "  I go to the office and manager (who first took my work order along with hearing me tell her about my alarm) says guy didn't see note.  It was a yellow post it well-taped right beside where one sticks in the key.  Plus, alarm or pet issues were supposed to be on the work order.  Of course, the screen doesn't fit.  So I told them to keep it, I would buy one or do without.  This is very vexing as when the place was known as Park Commons, the staff was very competent and efficient.  One call and work orders would be completed w/i 1-2 days.   To add more misery to the situation, the office is closed on weekends except for the first Sat in the month.  I come home Aug 3 to find carpet soaked near AC unit.  I left message on emergency maintenance line (BTW the message on that line still had the "The complex doesn't have power" spiel from last month's power outage) and someone actually showed up within 30 minutes.  Maintenance fixed the problem but told me it would be Friday or Monday before someone could come to dry out wet carpet.   Why should it take two days or more to have someone come dry my carpet?  To add fat to the fire of disorganization, this maintenance rep said she was unable to enter my apartment earlier that day (I had placed work order about AC that morning) because "She didn't have a key."  The maintenance manager had quit and no one knew where the keys were - he may have kept them in a shed?   Spare keys to residents' apartments are floating out there in the universe?  WHY aren't these keys in the manager's office anyway????  Maintenance should sign out key when doing work order and sign it back in at manager's office when work order completed.   Of course I try to call office while at work Friday but get placed on hold (you never get a live person, it's always a recording that places you on hold) twice.  I left a message with assistant manager inquiring about when carpet would be dried out and of course received no reply. I've lived in apts in 3 states since the 80s and NEVER experienced the unresponsiveness and outright incompetence of management like I have now at Parkland Commons.  The place is turning into a dump fast - literally as furniture and other large items are overflowing near the dumpster.  I asked the office about why no one had picked up this junk and the assistant manager said the company that picks up such refuse only comes twice a month.  Well,  that pile of [redacted] was there last month and the pile has grown and it is now Aug 5 and I will bet money it will be Sept 5 and the pile of [redacted] will still be there.  BTW, it is Aug 6 and my carpet is still wet.
