Apollo Lock and Key

Review: My husband, [redacted], called me (in central Virginia) for help with his auto lockout in an industrial area of [redacted], VA ([redacted], VA [redacted]). (He was having a severe nose bleed. He has occasionally required doctor care for this condition due to extreme loss of blood.) The location of his auto lockout was less than a mile from the Apollo office address. I was told the cost was $29 for call & $19+ for unlocking auto with tech to be there in about 20 minutes. After 40 minutes, the tech arrived, unlocked the 2002 car in 2-3 minutes. My husband said, WITHOUT discussion of the charge, his credit card was charged $184 with the tech handing him the CHARGED paperwork to sign. I called Apollo & was transferred to a supervisor. He immediately took an adversarial position while trying to intimidate me by accusing me of doing what HE WAS DOING: yelling and being unreasonable as he interrupted me and talked over my explanation of the issue. His anger and irritation speaking with a woman was evident and prevented him from listening to my complaint & addressing my issue. Working with the public in real estate, I speak straight forwardly and directly to the subject. I do not profane or yell, and I expect business entities to act professionally and address the issue at hand. When asked the name and contact information of the company owner, this supervisor would not even tell me the name of the owner only saying '[redacted]' & refusing three times to tell me the owner's name and contact information! I left my name & phone number for the owner to contact me. I did ask him if Apollo is a member of the Revdex.com, and he said 'Yes'. Timeline 10/28/2013: 12:56pm for 2:25m=I was told $29+$19 and 20 minutes arrival. 1:50pm for 1:32m=Asking where tech is? 1:57pm for 12:27m=Conversation with supervisor.Desired Settlement: Reduction in charge to reflect: $29 lockout call plus $19 minimum unlock and $20-30 dollars more in not an unreasonable additional charge for a total charge of $68 to $80.

At this time, I have NOT been contacted by Apollo Lock and Key regarding complaint ID [redacted]. It is surprising that the Apollo Lock and Key 'supervisor' with whom I spoke affirmed that his business was a member of the Revdex.com!

Apollo Lock and Key has been referred to the Department of Criminal Justice Services, Division of Regulatory Affairs, [redacted] in regards to this complaint. There is currently no licensing record for Apollo in the state of Virginia.
