Review: I purchased an item from Apothecarie New York's website. When I received the shipment, it was the incorrect item, so I wished to exchange it for the correct item. I followed the return policy that was included on the packing slip and on the company's website that instructed me to use the prepaid mailing label that was attached to the packing slip. I took the package to USPS (as per the return policy) where I requested proof that I had dropped the package off for delivery, but the postal worker told me they don't provide proof of drop-off with this type of prepaid mailing label. About a week later, I called the company's customer service number to inquire about receipt of the package and shipment of the correct product. I was told that the product was received and that the correct item would ship within the next few days. About a week later, I still hadn't received the correct product, so I contacted customer service again. This time, I was told that they couldn't locate the return shipment and that they would look around for it and call me back. After another week, I still hadn't received a return phone call or an exchange, so I called the company back again to inquire and was told they never received the return. I have since been told that the shipment should have been returned at my own expense and that if I couldn't provide proof of shipment, I had no recourse. This is contradictory to the company's return policy. I am now out $321 and have no product to show for it.Desired Settlement: I would simply like the product that I originally ordered. If the company doesn't have the product in stock, I would like a refund.
