Apple Bank for Savings

I cannot use online banking. I have been trying for the last year to get online to use it but apple does not respond to my requests. I have been receiving statements by email all along. I called various times I was told a supervisor will call back which she never does. Mindy Liebman is her name. I spoke to a shakira last week apple bank's operator via phone. that was about my 6th attempt for the year, she left me on hold for 20 minutes plus to try to get a supervisor on the phone. the account online tells me to call the bank and locks me out of the web site. I have made these calls and I am always told a supervisor will call me concerning my account. no help

Review: After reviewing my online banking on [redacted], 2013, I'd noticed I'd been processed three (3) returned check charges from one transaction that should have been honored; I reached out to Apple Bank's customer service to obtain information on the deductions to my account. I spoke with a female representative in the late morning/ early afternoon of [redacted], who rudely barked that my funds weren't available, even though online banking showed different. Due to the lack of professionalism and assistance, I requested to speak with her supervisor. Two (2) business days later I received a call back from a Supervisor who continued with the explanation her junior employee began to give; which stated, when my two payments came through there weren't fund available to honor both. That even though the $25.00 charge from [redacted]'s was processed first and requested first, the payment of $14.85 *(which was processed [redacted] 2013) was placed on "hold" because it was authorized prior to the $25.00 hitting the account. While on line with the supervisor, I opened the online banking which showed the [redacted]'s payment coming through first. Yet based of the supervisor, since Apple Bank chose to honor the $14.85 first the $25.00 from [redacted]'s was un-honored. Now because of this one error, [redacted]'s did not receive payment, and because of that, [redacted]'s attempted to process the 25.00 payment two (2) more times, which lead to two (2) more returned check fees from Apple Bank. This totals an amount of $105.00 of fees being taken from me because of Apple Banks inconsistency of their systems.Desired Settlement: I would like for Apple Bank to reverse the three (3) returned check fees assessed to my account.

After further reviewing a complaint from [redacted]. Apple Bank has decided not to reimburse the fees that was charged

to her account. [redacted] was well aware of her automatic debits from her account. Thank you for your attention

to this matter.

My experience with Apple Bank is negative as I will never do business with them ever again. I am speaking my mind (as I have a right to) in this review. I have seen disgruntled employees at Apple Bank insulting customers. I have been lied to by Apple Bank about their ATM fees; Apple Bank still charges their clients ATM fees even though using their own ATM machines! I have been serviced by Apple Bank employees who did not care about me keeping my account open with them or closing it.

Review: I have an IRA in Apple Bank for Savings. I found out that I was being charged an annual fee of $30.00. I was never informed of this and in addition on the web site they advertise with the promise that they will preserve your retirement savings.Desired Settlement: I want this bank to stop charging retirement accounts and I also want them to be punished for their unethical business practices. In addition, I want a refund.

[redacted]'s notice concerning the Annual Maintenance Trustee Fees of $30.00 debited from her above cited retirement plans has been referred to my attention for review and reply.

Although we realize no one likes to see fees charged or raised, please be aware that Apple Bank has assessed an Annual Maintenance Trustee Fee since 2002. The ability to impose and charge such fee is detailed in the Plan Trust Agreement governing the IRA, and is also noted in our Other Charges Specific to Time Deposit Accounts Disclosure. Please refer to the attached sample documents. Notices of such fees were first sent out in December 2002, and any subsequent fee changes have been mailed out accordingly.

Each year an Annual Statement detailing all transactions on the accounts for each plan is mailed to our customers. The posting of said fee is a transaction and is noted on the statement (see a sampling page of the statement for each plan).

On a case-by-case basis, we will take into consideration a retirement plan depositor's bank relationship and reverse a fee. The depositor is required to complete our Request for Service Fee Reversal, and upon review of the relationship (such as a savings and checking accounts are used by the depositor on a regular basis), we will reverse the fee for the depositor. [redacted] completed said form for fees assessed in 2011 and 2012. The $30.00 fees were reversed each time the request was made. From what I can ascertain from her plans, these were the first years that [redacted] has contacted us regarding any fee reversal.
