Response taken via phone: They were still having problems with the brakes at the last visit to the dealership If the problem with the rotors was because the car was not driven enough, why do other cars that sit on the lot sometimes for months without being driven not have problems with the rotors? They would like the dealership to pay the remaining amount that is left on the car note

Company responded via phone as follows: Occassionally, this does happen to cars on the lot and the rotors do need to be resurfaced which is what was done to her car for free. This repair is not covered under any warranty and was done as a good will gesture.
The customer actually bought the car used in April of '15 although it was low miles around 1100. She brought it in Jan of '16 with a complaint of her brakes with around 2900 miles. We resurfaced them free of charge. I believe the issue is her not driving the car enough....
Brakes can tend to have buildup on them if the car isn't driven much. 1800 miles in 9 months would qualify as unusually low miles. Again, we resurfaced them free of charge. I hope this makes sense. I have attached a copy of the repair order and highlighted the purchase date, the date of service and the fact that the work was done free of charge. Let me know if you have any other questions.
