Apple Canada does not honour its warrantyPurchased an iPhone 6s with a phone plan from *** in March of Prior to the warranty expiring, I was experiencing two problems with the phone:
Crack in the lower corner, not caused by impact, but by temperature changeThe phone has always been well cared for, never been dropped and is always protected by an *** caseThere is no impact marks, as I said, the phone has never been damaged as a result of accident, abuse, misuse, or misapplicationIt is a business phoneI believe the crack may have been caused by temperature change, after coming in from outdoors, although this can't be confirmed
The phone switches off in cold weather whenever it has 50% or lower chargeIt can't be used in the winter outdoorsMy iPhone and ipod never had this problemMy wife's iPhone 6s bought at the same time, continues to function while mine does notThe Apple Store rep explained this was a problem with this model, admitting it was Apple which was liable for the defectHowever, clearly the defect is not universal, as my wife's phone works fine at low temperatures, it's just mine that has issues
These issues are covered under their warrantee, please see http://store.apple.com/Catalog/US/Images/wty-post1997.html, but Apple refuses to fulfil its warranty obligationSpecifically, the Apple Store at the Bayshore Shopping Centre in Ottawa, Canada
Please let me know what recourse can be taken, other than never buying another Apple product for life and letting others know about my experience
