Dear ***,Thank you for your assistance in this matter. The response to my Revdex.com complaint by Seamus R*** is a fabrication.I am not a difficult person at allI am easy going, considerate and pride myself on my relationships socially and in businessMy relationships with those currently involved in my remodcurrent contractor (whom I had a great lunch with socially recently), plumbers, electrician, and super are all great. I have never been aggressive toward anyone, nor would I beI was never disruptive in any wayMy dealings with *** *** were about certain wood planks looking damagedTheir representative came to the job site to evaluate them, agreed, and replaced the stock that was not right-certainly not a conflict. Never had a conflict with Seamus' tilersThey in fact have not done any work. Never, ever did I refuse the use of re a/c-the entire idea is a complete lie.The facts (emails/texts) do not corroborate anything that Seamus stated in his responseI have texts and emails that show no animus on my part, and certainly no rude or aggressive behaviorIn fact, as late as June ***., I have a text that Seamus wrote in response to my news that *** was replacing some of the damaged flooring.."this is great" with an emoticon of two beer mugs clankingThat is not a text that would be sent by him if I were anything but appropriate, friendly, and considerate. As far as aggressive behavior, it was Seamus who exhibited that, not meHe texted me later on the *** to apologize for his behavior in an earlier textTo quote his text: "I blew a fuse the other day small bit of pressureI apologize" "All good?" To which I responded: Thnx for thatWas going to speak with you about it tmrowYeah-I'm all good now"He responded "Thank you"I texted: "SureSee u tmrow". I have kept all texts and emails, so the facts speak for themselves. The situation devolved into acrimony solely on Seamus' part when I asked in an email on 6/** for a breakdown on what an extra charge of $1,from his tilers was forHe responded on 6/** with the breakdownI emailed him back the same day thanking him for the emailI declined to accept the $charge for a marble shower nook as I had found one for much less, and I declined the tiling finishing strips for $as I could get them at *** *** for $I stated that the only item on the breakdown I needed to consider was the epoxy grout for $550.00, and stated that I would let him know the next dayI signed off with "hope you had a relaxing weekend"Again, certainly not aggressive behavior on my part. What I got back in a return email was an abusive, unprofessional, rambling, and inappropriate emailI have a full copy of the email availableHis anger that I would buy something cheaper either in a store or online was inappropriate He stated in his email: "If I spent a lot more time getting things via computer SURE I'd get *** cheeper (sic) as well but you know what I'd get nothing done on the groundYou pay for convenienceYou want to be the builder fineStay on site and supervise"His last line was "there is not room in the apt for both of us".As you can see, his anger at my wanting to watch unnecessary expenses is ridiculous for any professionalI never asked him to go online nor do any research to get items at a lower costI did not ask for convenience when it came to the things his tilers itemizedI was happy to get those items on my own and never complained about anything related to it. Once I received his email stating that there is not room in the apt for both of us, I knew I could no longer trust him to work with him, and therefore had to let him goI sent him an email explaining why, and I respectfully requested a fair reimbursementI also tried to contact him by telephone and left a very nice voicemail asking him to call me to work out a fair arrangement for the work done to date in regards to the 1/of the full amount of the proposal that was paid (the 1/fee came to $10,800.00)Seamus has also kept the wood planks that he took offsite and promised to return (sq ft/box @ $8.49/sq ft) and still has not done soHe has refused any reimbursement. His actions and emails/texts speak for themselvesI respectfully ask for reimbursement of $7,000.00, and $2,for the wood flooring that was kept.Thank you for listening.Sincerely,*** ***

Review: Contractor became rude, sending unprofessional emails, and stated that "there is not room in the apt for the both of us" in a rude email, effectively making it impossible to have a working relationship or to fulfill the terms of our contract. He was subsequently fired as a result of this. He was paid $10,800.00 on 6/**/15 (which was 1/2 of total contract fee)To date, only work done: demolition, 5/8" Quietrock board placed in one wall, 1/3 of wood flooring placed, cement/plaster by electrical rough outs, framing of 1 wall in bathroom (done incorrectly, had to be cut to fit tub, and will have to be redone), plywood placed on kitchen floor slab (will have to be pulled up because ceramic tiles cannot be placed on plywood and if a layer is put down over the plywood, it will be too high compared to the foyer wood floor)Contractor is in possession of wood flooring planks that I purchased and they have not been returned (8 boxes, approx 25 sq ft/box, cost is $8.49/sq ft)Desired Settlement: Refund of money spent as I must now correct some of the work that was done, hire a new contractor, and start again on my renovation project.I also would like the wood flooring that I paid for to be returned to me.

I have kept all texts and emails, so the facts speak for themselves. The situation devolved into acrimony solely on Seamus' part when I asked in an email on 6/** for a breakdown on what an extra charge of $1,250.00 from his tilers was for. He responded on 6/** with the breakdown. I emailed him back the same day thanking him for the email. I declined to accept the $600.00 charge for a marble shower nook as I had found one for much less, and I declined the tiling finishing strips for $100.00 as I could get them at [redacted] for $18.00. I stated that the only item on the breakdown I needed to consider was the epoxy grout for $550.00, and stated that I would let him know the next day. I signed off with "hope you had a relaxing weekend". Again, certainly not aggressive behavior on my part. What I got back in a return email was an abusive, unprofessional, rambling, and inappropriate email. I have a full copy of the email available. His anger that I would buy something cheaper either in a store or online was inappropriate. He stated in his email: "If I spent a lot more time getting things via computer SURE I'd get [redacted] cheeper (sic) as well but you know what I'd get nothing done on the ground. You pay for convenience. You want to be the builder fine. Stay on site and supervise". He has refused any reimbursement. His actions and emails/texts speak for themselves. I respectfully ask for reimbursement of $7,000.00, and $2,000.00 for the wood flooring that was kept.Thank you for listening.Sincerely,[redacted]

Response:

In regard to [redacted] he is now looking for money that I have receipts for from his local hardware store so this clearly shows his devious character. I also have consulted with mirage flooring and Woodlawn floor supply and have written statement that shows I am been victimized here. It appears the only way this is going to get resolved is in court and there my Lawyer feels I will be getting out of pocket money that I am owed. He as you can see has all the time in the world to attack me and waist your valuable time as well as others. Regards, Seamus R[redacted]
