Apple George Town

I took my working I phone to the store because I could not hear when I get calls and to download a new operating system because I was told that could be the reason for the phone not ringing. I indicated right at the start that I use my phone, text, Whatsup for business and stressed the importance of backing up before they worked on my phone. I was asked to make more space by removing apps and unwanted photos. I did so but it still did not have enough space so the tech said lets reduce one step and started to down load the operating system from one of their computers. When I asked about back up he said dont worry we are sincing your information and that he has done this many many times and knows what he is doing. ( I even took 2 lap tops in case they need to use it for back up and restore) Half way through the down load, the phone gave an error message. I was told it might be the cable. They changed the cable. Down load stopped again. Then they said it was the port the cable is connected to and said the working phone I brought in is broken inside and that it can not be used or restored. Since I had my son's phone with me, they said they can change the sim card and I can use his phone. I said ok and to restore my phone to the way it was form a back up or sinc. When they restored my phone, all my data ( text messages) were not there. I had business offers, product information, business contacts on my phone. I left the store very very angry. 4 people attended to my phone ( due to breaks and they multi tasking customers) so no one person was responsible for my phone repair. I asked for a Supervisor and explained to him what happened to me. All he said was I am sorry. Your phone is defective and you need to buy a new phone and it will cost you some 399 $ I called apple the next day and opened a case. She tried to restore my text and said it may or may not work and to take to another apple store. I was in NY City the next day, I took it to the Apple store and they got my old phone working.
