[redacted] , My name is [redacted] owner and operator of Apple Valley Automotive I was contacted by Justice in the beginning of September to inquire about about a timing belt replacement job on her Acura car ,I quoted her for parts and labor I was then contacted by justice on September for a quote to replace the timing belt and water pump on her Acura type s, she had gotten all her own parts and wanted just labor ,I informed her I would NOT warranty any parts she provides and for labor I would do it for ,hours at a hour for a total of Justice agreed on the price of and I went to her home and performed the job on September 2017, everything went well the vehicle had timing belt and timing belt idlers and hydraulic tensioner for timing belt and water pump all replaced and added gallon of antifreeze I was then contacted by justice on September to call her ,I did she informed me car was making a new noise and asked if I could come by and look at it I went by justices home September to see what the noise was , The conclusion I found no tension on timing belt , hydraulic tensioner was defective ,it should constantly want to push out and this one was not ,I informed justice the tensioner failed and needed to be replaced ,I got her a quote from dealer and she declined and said she would contact eBay were she purchased the one I installed and get back to me I was contacted again by text from Justice on September that noise went away and belt was now tight and working fine once again , I assumed everything was fine until I was contacted by justice once again September that I needed to come by asap and fix her car because she is sure I left something loose that is causing the noise and not her defective partI gave her a discounted price because she told me she was on fixed income and I explained I can not do the job a second time for free ,if she was to get new hydraulic tensioner ( which she still has not gotten)I would work with her And now here we are ,how can I be responsible for the parts my customers provide, that is why I always document it on their invoice Which I included a copy of

I am rejecting this response because:
Im rejecting this response because parts are not faulty in the middle of July I contacted *** *** the owner of Apple Valley automotive I asked him if he could change a timing belt on a Acura he said yes I was quoted $I paid him $and the rest was to be paid in a few daysHe worked on it trying to remove the crankshaft bolt using breaker bars ,air impacts and a settling torch while doing this he chipped the crankshaft( pics 1-)(The shing part is where the piece is missing.) by not using the correct tool which is a 50mm crankshaft pulley tool .(pic #) which I didn't notice up until yesterday - - Since he was unable to get the crankshaft both off he refunded me $out of the three that was paid he said to contact him when I got the boat loose I went and rented a crankshaft pulley tool and had it off in less than a few minutes I've been contacted *** and ask him how much he would just charge for labor since I was getting the parts and he quoted me $I said okay made an appointment for September 15th which then he end up canceling we set one up for September 16th the work was done I paid in cash the next day the belt started making lots of noise I been contacted *** again about this noise came and he looked at it took the top timing belt cover off stated it was they High draulic tensioner and not his work and left the timing belt cover off I asked him on the 19th of September to come and put the cover back on he said he would do it but it would take a week he wants me to pay him again to repair the car claiming it was the parts I asked him to show me that it is the part and not the labor and I will pay him no responseThe car ran perfectly fine before the work was done on this car it just needed a timing belt because it was at k now the car is not running at all and I'm having to pay to have it repaired so it will run As the car is being repaired we saw there is no problem with the hydraulic tensioner as he claims

I do agree with Justice/Jan that I did attempt to do the job originally but could not get the Crank bolt loose I tried for two days to work on it , by heating bolt with torch and using a bigger impact gun to get it losen with no success.I was not going to charge Justice anything for the job she offered to give me $for my time ,there was no damage occurred to her vehicle, it's still ran fine and she actually drove it home without any issues after two weeks she contacted me that she had somebody else that was able to get the Crank bolt loose and asked if I can continue doing the job just for the labor ,because she had gotten her own parts That still doesn't change the fact that her part failed , The hydraulic tensioners job is to keep the timing belt tight at all times if the belt is loose the tensioner has failed, I show that to Justice, and she acknowledged before I left her home that the part had failed and was going to get it warranty , that is why I left part of the timing cover off , when she informed me everything was fine a few days later ,I could not run right back over to her home ,she lives over miles away a mile round trip to put the cover back on at the drop of a top hat ,I informed her I would be over there as soon as I had an opening then she contacted me a day later and said she got it done herself Most if not all correspondence between Justice and me with text messages and I have a copy of everyone She is claiming I left something loose and the timing belt is rubbing on something because of it and I strongly disagree

[redacted], My name is [redacted] owner and operator of Apple Valley Automotive I was contacted by Justice in the beginning of September to inquire about about a timing belt replacement job on her Acura car ,I quoted her 526.87 for parts and labor   I was then contacted by justice on...

September 5 2017 for a quote to replace the timing belt and water pump on her 02 Acura type s, she had gotten all her own parts and wanted just labor ,I informed her I would NOT warranty any parts she provides and for labor I would do it for ,4 hours at 75.00 a hour for a total of  300.00   Justice agreed on the price of 300.00 and I went to her home and performed the job on September 11 2017, everything went well the vehicle had timing belt and timing belt idlers and hydraulic tensioner for timing belt and water pump all replaced and added 1 gallon of antifreeze.   I was then contacted by justice on September 14 2017 to call her ,I did she informed me car was making a new noise and asked if I could come by and look at it   I went by justices home September 16 2017 to see what the noise was , The conclusion I found no tension on timing belt , hydraulic tensioner was defective ,it should constantly want to push out and this one was not ,I informed justice the tensioner failed and needed to be replaced ,I got her a quote from dealer and she declined and said she would contact eBay were she purchased the one I installed and get back to me    I was contacted again by text from Justice on September 18 2017 that noise went away and belt was now tight and working fine once again ,       I assumed everything was fine until I was contacted by justice once again September 23 2017 that I needed to come by asap and fix her car because she is sure I left something loose that is causing the noise and not her defective part. I gave her a discounted price because she told me she was on fixed income and I explained I can not do the job a second time for free ,if she was to get new hydraulic tensioner ( which she still has not gotten)I would work with her . And now here we are ,how can I be responsible for the parts my customers provide, that is why I always document it on their invoice Which I included a copy of
