Applegate Wood Floors, Incorporated

Review: Hired Applegate Wood Floors to install 585 sq ft of wood flooring. Paid over 60% of entire job at time of agreement, after tear out complete (valued at $400) [redacted] asked for the $400 in addition to the original payment. When I said that was too much for me to give him considering flooring had not been delivered he got upset and said he would deliver but would not do install. We chose this product based on him doing the install. He hired his 19 year old son and his friend to do tear out resulting in some damage to subfloor and walls. Would have been okay if he completed project because he could have done repairs. Now I am trying to find someone to do an install or install ourselves along with repairing damage. If we were going to install ourselves I could have spent same money but gotten a higher quality product. This has been very upsetting and would not want anyone to experience this. After [redacted] quit, I had a phone conversation to try and resolve. He said we could discuss when he delivered floor. He had his son deliver and did not show and did not respond to my message. I will now have to move into house with subfloors and pay additional money to have furniture etc. moved for install. Also, after tear out I received a typed invoice (original was handwritten) the second invoice total did not match the first...very disturbing!Desired Settlement: Want a refund of the additional money I will be out with hiring a new contractor to complete the job.
