We were shopping for a new TV so we stopped at Appliance Center in Maumee and found that the staff friendly and showed no preasure trying to sell something we were not interested in We did but a new TV from them and we adding in all the necessary parts that might be needed to hook the new TV into our system, When it was delivered the men who installed it said that a couple of the cables were not need so he said he would take them back for us and give us a credit on the unused parts, we thought nothing about it but to our surprise we received a check from them in just a few days
What honest folks to deal with and without a doubt whenever we need anything else for our home we will return to Appliance Center
So unfortunately the good service we received on a previous order has been overshadowed by a lack of customer service and communication on our 2nd tripBought a couch, coffee table and TV stand Memorial Day weekendWas told to expect delivery in weeks (by Jun 5) by ***, our salespersonIt has been weeks and I still don't have two of my pieces and the other isn't assembled and is just in a boxEach time I call they tell me to be patient for just a few more daysI find out today that they've had my furniture for a week and just never called meI've had to call every time and I never get a call back when they say they willThis space isn't even long enough for me to explain the run around I've been dealing withSo if you buy from Appliance Center plan on having to beg and plead to get your furniture actually delieveredand when you get it, don't plan on it being assembledYou'll have to take care of that yourself
Appliance Center of Maumee, Ohio is absolutely wonderful. A locally owned and operated business for several years, this place is a great gem right outside of Toledo. Our TV of 14 years decided to finally bite the dust. We decided on Appliance Center to look for a new TV and WOW. The sales man that we had, [redacted], was great. He wasn't pushy what so ever. He provided the information we were looking for and answered our questions; very sincere all the way around. When I think of the word "salesman' I think non-honest & looking to scam someone. Not the case at Appliance Center. I felt right at home. When we were on our way out, the owner went out of his way to thank us. While waiting for the warehouse to get our order together, another sales man chatted with us again making us feel right at home. We will be using them again for our future appliance purchases. We used to use [redacted] but this place beats [redacted] and all other big box stores hands done. Not to mention, they will beat all prices too! Thanks, Appliance Center! Job well done!
I am incredibly frustrated with customer service at Appliance Center. I was sold appliances which did not fit our specifications. Having to re-order our stove meant that we had to oay for the expensive installation twice. I was delivered a dented dishwasher door-twice! We are still waiting on a third replacement door. Frig leaks inside. We are on our 5th service call and still not fixed. I was "upsold" a couch fabric I was told was "the most economical". I was promised a $75 dollar gift card and 7 weeks later I still don't have it (it was supposed to arrive by mail). I am the most frustrated that their customer service department REFUSES to answer phone messages. Over and over again, I am promised a return phone call, and they just never, ever return the call. We were assigned a "customer service liason" since we have had so many problems. I have left her three messages and she also does not answer phone calls. The only time we get action is if we drive to the store and demand to talk to someone. I want to buy local, and I like their products and selection, but were are getting horrible treatment after spending around $4,000.00.
We purchased range & refrigerator from Appliance Center. The oven door on the range broke in less than 10 days (after on use) - they were unwilling to assist us.
We contacted them to let them know our oven door was broken and was unable to be closed. They said they would not replace, we'd have to contact the manufacturer. We did that and had a service guy come out later that week. We then were told we'd have to wait another week for the parts needed to repair the door. We contacted Appliance Center because we were unable to be without an oven for more than one week (and when we'd only just purchased this item) and we believe they should stand behind their products and should have replaced the range or made an effort to remedy our situation. They made no effort to help us and in fact ignored us hoping we'd go away. My husband called in and talked to a manager on who said he'd check into the problem and call him back - NO RETURN CALL WAS EVER MADE. My husband called back 5 days later since he never received a call back and spoke with another manager who apologized for the first manager, said she'd check into it and call back. NO RETURN CALL WAS EVER MADE. This is a business that wants to get you in the door, sell you a product and could care less about what happens from there. Their customer service is truly NON-EXISTENT and they clearly do not stand behind their products. The service guy that came from the manufacturer even told us that within the first 30 days Appliance Center should've remedied this situation for us - but he said this is how they always operate. It's disgraceful.
