Hi, I had previously contacted you before about these people, but decided to give them the benefit of the doubt and allow them to fix our dishwasher. However, they made the broken dishwasher even worse this time. We had appliance pro come out to our place over a month ago to fix our broken top dishwasher (we have two stacked ones). The first time they came out they said that they "fixed" it and it seemed to work fine. It cost $300. A week later, it stopped working. We called them back again and they came out to fix it. They said that they had to fix the motor this time and they would go get the part from their car. They never returned, even though I called multiple times and spoke to their boss who said they would be right back. Giving them the benefit of the doubt, I waited for them to call me back about the repair, which they never did. Finally I called them and they agreeed to come back out, for an additional $100 dollars. We were upset but said fine. They came out and said it was "fixed" again, after fixing the motor. He ran the dishwasher for 6 minutes and it seemed to be fine. The very next day, we ran the dishwasher, and it seemed to work fine. BUT after 8 minutes, it started flashing, as did the bottom dishwasher, which had actually been working fine before this last repair, and both of them were completely broken. We actually had to turn the circuit breaker in order to turn the dishwashers off. I called Appliance Pro and just asked for our money back. They keep saying they are "fixing" it but are just making it worse. They want to have someone come out for a 4th time, but cannot promise it won't cost us more to fix. At this point, it seems like a scam and we are completely frustrated, and just want our money back.
We just want our money back. We have spent so much of our time and money on Appliance Pro and they have continued to be completely rude to us and ripped us off. We are contacting another company to repair our dishwasher and don't want to have to pay for repairs twice. As it is, we feel Appliance Pro made the dishwasher worse, but we just want our money back.

Review: On September **, 2014, [redacted] of Appliance Pro NYC came out on a call to repair our dishwasher, which had been leaking. He cited the problem as a leaky door gasket and told us the part would need to be ordered from the **. He quoted us $517.15 for parts and labor, which we paid by check. He informed us he would order the part and return to repair the dishwasher, but he never contacted us again. Repeated calls went unanswered, and there is no way to leave a voicemail as the voicemail box is always full and does not accept messages. Twice we were able to get in touch with him, and told that he would check on the issue and return our calls, but we again heard nothing from him. He continues to ignore our calls. We finally called another repair service which fixed the issue on the spot, it being a valve clog, not the gasket.Desired Settlement: This business has a responsibility to refund the money for parts and labor which were never ordered or performed, and were a fraudulent quote to begin with.

Review: I found Appliance Warehouse to fix my Fisher and Paykel Dishwasher. It was displaying an error message- F2, with a wrench. I called them ,explained the problem, and they came out to fix it. When they came out, I explained the situation again, and they said there was somethign wrong with the pump and fixed it. About a week later, the dishwasher started stopping on the 8 minute mark. It would start up again if it unpaused it, but it was not working. I called them and asked them to come back out. First, they said they didn't know when they could come out. Then, when I called back to see if they had figured out when they could come back out, they said, oh we are already there. So when they came in, they gave me a hard time about it, and then, after "looking" at it, said I needed to replace the pump. While confused, since they had supposedly just fixed it last week, I said ok, what are the next steps. They said they had to see if the part was available and went out to their truck. They never came back in even though I called repeatedly. I was busy with work and was not able to keep following up with them for the next week, but they never called to follow up themselves or apologize. When my [redacted] called today to ask if they could please come back out to fix it, first they gave him a hard time, saying I had only complained about noise and they had fixed that. They continued to fight with him and were completely rude. They claim that we need a new pump to fix it. While that may be the truth, I don't feel like I can believe them anymore- I feel like they are trying to pull one over on us! I just would like my money back because I would rather work with a professional who understands how to work with people.Desired Settlement: I just want my money back so that I can hire someone else who will be professional. I am appalled at their behavior and the way they handle their business. I feel that they should not be able to continue to work, as I would feel terrible if this same situation happened to anyone else.

Review: In March, repairmen came to assess broken Miele washing machine. Machine was leaking and red light on front of machine indicated something wrong with intake valve. Repair man said that it was broken drain pump. Would order and get back to me. He said that he would also to maintenance by cleaning out filters when he came back. I asked for written estimate of what he assessed and he said that would come. He called the next day to say that that full repair of machine would cost me $675 and he gave me estimates on my stove and fridge. I agreed to repair the washer first. He asked for my credit card to buy the piece. I tried to argue buy the piece directly from Miele but he said that they absolutely could not work that way, even when I offered to subtract the piece from the full amount estimated so that he could have his profit. I relented and gave the number. I knew the piece was about $250 but he did not tell me how much the part would cost. Later, I would discover that they made an unreasonable and really unauthorized charge of $435.50 to my credit card. About 10 days later, 4/** they came back with the part and installed it after 20 minutes they said the machine was fixed. They asked for check. I asked to pay with credit. He took my credit number, I asked for a receipt, something to state all the charges and report of what exactly was done. He said that would come in the mail. That paper has never been received despite numerous calls and conversations. At the time, I was so relieved to hear the machine was fixed that I forgot to ask that the charge for parts, previously paid be included in the bill. I have since had this amount reimbursed by my credit card company, because the verbal estimate was $575 not $1071. But five minutes after they leave, I go to do the wash and the machine light comes on and water is all over the floor. I call to complain several times. I finally send text with photos and I get a response five hours later. They come back two days later and tell me something else is broken and that I never told them about the red light indicator and something else must be broken since their repairs. They never responded to make that "extra" repair. They did nothing. I called 10 days later. Promises were made to make repairs. I asked again for invoice and receipt that was never sent. I was told that the guarantee would be doubled. I pointed out that without a warranty I had double on nothing.

I called Miele. They came and assessed the same situation: water on floor, red light indicator. Miele repairman found the water hose to the drain was dripping. He pulled off the top and reinserted the hose into the pipe for $0 repair cost. NO more water on floor. He explained that the drain pump could not have been broken because Miele designs it to be totally enclosed. You can't see that it is broken because it is designed, if broken, to drain into the machine to a place that would then safely shut off the machine. The machine is designed to not work at all with a broken drain pump. My machine was working, but not well. He charged me $241 for a new intake valve, made the repair and the machine has been working ever since.Desired Settlement: Due to failure to provide estimate, failure to provide receipt and claimed warranty on repair, wrong assessment and "repair," multiple phone calls, emails, text, and attempts by me to have them provide documents in a normal course of business. It would be great if they repaired there business practices.

For a complete failure to provide proper business practice and necessary and correct repair to my machine, Appliance pro NYC Inc should give me back my money $636.21.

Review: The Business came to fix a burner on my oven. They claimed I needed new hinges as well. They came to assess the problem and charged $87.06. They came back to "fix" the oven after obtaining parts on April **, 2014. They arrived 3 hours late. After charging $734.91, which I said was high, [redacted] said they guarantee all their work for one year and will return if there is any problem. After using the oven for exactly 1 week, the burner that they fixed began to leak gas and try to ignite when other burners were turned on and in full use. This has become a danger to myself and my family. When I called to complain, they promised to come. They said they would come and fix the problem on Thursday, May **, 2014. They were 3 hours late and arrived without a truck and one person came in. He said I don't have the tools and can't come back until Saturday, this was discussed with [redacted] at the main office as well. We remained home waiting for four hours on Saturday. When we called they said it was so busy they did not write down the appt. and didn't know they were suppose to come. We rescheduled for today, May **, 2104. They did not come at all. I called three times but received no response. I now have an oven that needs to be repaired again and I am out $821.97. I am a substitute teacher so staying home waiting for people makes me lose money as well.'Desired Settlement: They claimed they would fix the problem but did not. I would like another party to actually repair the oven. I do not trust them any longer and would like another appliance repair company to complete the work. Therefore; I would like a full refund to pay another party. I would prefer cash because I am scared their check will bounce and I paid with a check that has cleared.

Review: My refrigerator's motor went down over the July [redacted] weekend. I made a service call to Appliance Pro NYC for repair on 7/* at 9 am. [redacted] answered the call and told me he would come to my apartment that morning to check. I authorized my building security to give [redacted] the access to my apartment as I had to go to work. At 12:30pm, [redacted] called and told me that he had replaced with a new motor and the refrigerator was working fine. When I got home that night, the first thing I did was to check the refrigerator. I was shocked to find out the refrigerator temperature was 128 F. It was hot like oven! Not only [redacted] didn’t repair my refrigerator, he also damaged my beautiful kitchen wood floor. He forcefully pulled the refrigerator without adjusting the front alignment legs. I was furious!! I called the company at 10:30 pm and ask them to send in another service professional next day. On 7/*, [redacted] and [redacted] came. They checked the refrigerator and said they needed to order parts. I realized that [redacted] had lied to me about new motor installation. [redacted] and [redacted] acknowledged the floor damage and told me to call the company's [redacted]. I have called Appliance Pro NYC ###-###-#### many times and sent them photos of the floor damages since 7/*, the dispatcher kept telling he passed my message to the [redacted] and [redacted]. But none of them returned my call. The service I received from Appliance Pro NYC was totally unprofessional and disrespectful. I am filling complain against them and holding their responsibility for my wood floor damage.Desired Settlement: I want them to be responsible for wood floor repair and apologize for what they did to me.
