Appliance Product Service Reviews (2)

Review: In April I contacted a APS in New Jersey regards my [redacted] Electric range. They said they were a certified [redacted] repair service per their web ad at the time.On April 22nd, 2014 an APS repair person came to my home and said a new [redacted] repair unit was needed for the [redacted] electric burner. Total cost was quoted (** No [redacted]) as $534.60 and I made a $250 deposit. The repairman said the part would take 3 to 4 days to get. I waited 7 days and got no call from APS. Since April 22nd I recored 29 calls to APC , of which 29 got voice mail or a message saying mail box was full. Of the 2 calls they answered they booked a repair date for me (May 27th and May 29th repair dates) No one showed up or called on those dates and I remained home the full day.I have never received a call from them and [redacted] Corporate has informed me that APS is NOT a certified [redacted] repair service ([redacted] received one other complaint similar to mine). I want the repair done or my $250 deposit returned.Desired Settlement: They repair my [redacted] stove per their ** No [redacted] quote of 4/22/2014ORThey refund my $250.

Review: Appliance Product Services came out to repair my [redacted] refrigerator and told me that I needed a new vacuum compressor which they charged me $2154.60 to repair. A week later the refrigerator was not working. They came out again and told me that I would need to pay another $1,000 to have it repaired. I did not have them repair it. I found another technician that was authorized by [redacted] to come and repair the refrigerator. They stated and [redacted] confirmed that they never replaced the vacuum compressor based on the dates and serial number on the compressor. It was either the original vacuum compressor or a used compressor that they clipped and put back in. They burned the date on the label, filled up the compressor with free on and probably thought that the leak was small enough to not be a problem for another six months to a year and would then claim it was another problem. They never repaired the original problem which was the evaporator coil leak.Desired Settlement: I would like to be reimbursed the $2154.60 that they charged to come out and repair the refrigerator.
