Review: Appliance Pros repaired a dishwasher at our rental property in Madison, WI in February 2013. We paid for the services in full as soon as [redacted], owner of Appliance Pros contacted us for payment in June 2013. To date we have not received an paperwork documenting what was done and what we were charged for. I have called Appliance Pros at least 20 times since June 2013 requesting the paperwork. To date I have not received the paperwork or a call back regarding the paperwork.Desired Settlement: Paperwork documenting charges and work done.
Review: I contacted [redacted] at Appliance Pros concerning a problem with my washing machine. When you call this company you never initially get to talk to an actual person--every route takes you to voicemail. [redacted] responded after I'd left two messages--about 24 hours after my initial call. When he looked at my washer he listened to my complaint and began by telling me what a problem these washers are--as though he'd seen plenty of them with problems but when it came to trying to diagnose, even to open any panel on the machine he didn't know where the entry points were! He clearly didn't know the model. He did turn it on and heard the sound I'd described and then, without going any further, told me it was the clutch and would be about a $500 repair, with parts and labor. I was shocked, given that the machine was only 2 1/2 years old. He asked if I wanted him to order the part but couldn't figure out how to access the exact price, trying to find it on his phone. I told him I'd give it some thought and let him know and he charged me $73.80 for that visit. Nothing was accomplished.
I was so frustrated that I went out to American TV where I'd purchased the unit to see what a new one would cost and to talk to their repair people. I ended up asking them to come out and give me a second opinion. Their repairman immediately tipped the machine back, accessing from underneath and within 5 minutes said "yep, I thought so." A nut had fallen off the bottom of the machine causing everything to shift. The nut was sitting right there underneath the machine. He replaced the nut and the problem was solved.Desired Settlement: I would like [redacted] at Appliance Pros to refund the $73.80 he charged for his visit. I would have respected him a lot more if he would have admitted that he didn't know the model well and couldn't diagnose it but to charge me for an opinion he pulled out of his a** is ludicrous.
My BOSCH dishwasher needed to be fixed and this company was their contracted repair man. He came out to look at the dishwasher - looked at it for 5 minutes and told me he needed to order a part and left. After a few days we called and had to leave a message about an estimated time on repair. After a week we had to leave another message to call us with something! After 2 weeks he has still never responded.
