Appliance Repair Pro's Texas Reviews (%countItem)

Ella *** has a fraudulent business known as Appliance Repair Pros. She also has her business under another name listed as Accurate Appliance Repair. The phone number to this company is XXX-XXX-XXXX. I asked for her to send over one of her service technicians to diagnose
and possible repair my Dacor ovens. Well after the technician Will came over, he told me my relay control board was fried from a faulty spectrum cable /internet technicians installation. Subsequently, Will took my relay control board and said he was going to go see if he could find a replacement part.

Well after about a week of no returned phone calls, or no returned emails and texts from Ella *** I began to suspect this company might be less than honorable. I went to her listed business address at *** Northwest Highway in Garland, Texas to go meet with her. Well guess what? the address does not exist. It was a bogus address and there is no business there and there was no shop there either. So I continued calling Ella *** and she continued avoiding my emails, phone calls, and all my text messages to her. So, at this point I called my bank and had my payment to her cancelled because they had my control board which was worth way more than the $65 dollar service charge they charged me for taking the board.

After I reversed the payment to Ella *** I finally got a text message from good old Ella *** who also goes by the name of ***. It seemed that suddenly she had an opening
to see me the next day with my relay control board via Will's prompt arrival. I gladly took my control board back and I will never use their corrupt services again!! Customers please be forewarned don't ever use this company for your appliance service needs.

Desired Outcome

Modification/discontinuance of Ella claims to be a christian with an honest appliance business. However, this company had no intention of doing the right thing. The only reason why they helped me was because they got outsmarted by a tenacious business person. My only desire is that Ella *** realizes that many families do not have money to squander especially during this coronavirus pandemic. My family needed our ovens and we went many days without them due to Ella's lack of attention to details.

Appliance Repair Pro's Texas Response • Mar 31, 2020

Good afternoon.

I received your letter and want to thank you in advance for affording me the opportunity to respond.

Of course, the accusations in this case are false and insignificant. This person is certainly ignorant and irate!!

My business is not fraudulent. We take pride in our honest approach as we have since we went into our business. We appreciate our customers, as we have for decades.

This person reported complete and inaccurate information, in addition to accusing me of using someone else's name! All these accusations are not only false, but they're ridiculous.

We provided a service check for the *** We scheduled an appointment and promptly arrived and took very good care of them. We provided information for them about their Dacor oven. Will did take their control board to send out for refurbishing. We returned it to them, at their request.

I provided additional information for them about their options, which was to send the board out or the option of replacing their units with a new oven.

I gave them quotes on what it could be to replace their ovens, since they chose not to go through with the repair, which is not considered part of the job they paid for.

Our duty to them had been met when we returned their part.

However, they put a stop payment on the service charge fee. If anyone is doing something dishonest, it's them. Stealing the $65 service charge from us after our duties had been met.

Unfortunately, this isn't the first time someone has placed blame on our honorable, reputable and productive business because they have broken appliances, as these folks are trying to do.

These folks are the crooks. We provided a service for them and they chose to steal the money back after our job was done.

And again, I'd like to thank you for giving us the opportunity to reply to such a petty and uncalled for act.

Sincerely,

Ella ***

My name is Ella *** Case #XXXXXXXX

I am replying to a complaint from 3/21/19.

I have spoken to Mr. numerous times in regards to this complaint. We spoke recently in March 2019 and I agreed to pay Mr. Wooley the 2nd half of the refund he's asking for. I have already sent him $250.00, so his story of us not responding is false.
I did send him the first half of this refund and as I told him, plan to send him the balance as soon as possible.

Thank you for your prompt attention to my request. Have a terrific afternoon.

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
17 months seems a little long to keep the money we were overcharged. As I stated in the complaint they did send $250 of the $500 they overcharged us 4 months after they overcharged on our credit card. Now over a year later we still don't have our refund. Every time we contact they say we will send when we can. I'm sure if I had t paid my invoice from them they would not wait 17 months for the money. It's ridiculous. Pay me what you owe me and I will stop complaining! Bad business!
