Appliance Service Center – NEVER CALL THEM AGAIN
*** Caller ID: *** February 18, 2019---Monday:
I called *** at 6:13 p.m. 24m 31s and talked to ***. I explained that the top drawer just continues washing non-stop and will not go into Rinse mode unless I stop it, then run Rinse myself. *** gave me the parts for my integrated model as follows saying this is what he thinks it is:

Control Module Part Number: *** $179.29

Harness Wiring Part Number: *** $62.81

*** gave me a phone number for two companies:

I called *** in Crafton *** at 6:45 p.m. 1m 16s and left a message.

I called Appliance Service Center *** at 6:46 p.m. 1m 7s and left a message.

Debbie returned my call and told me they want $104.95 to come out and diagnose the problem, but said will credit that amount toward fixing whatever the problem is.

I saw I missed a call from ***, so I called the number on Caller ID, *** PITTSBURGH, PA at 10:29 a.m. 7m 34s and Dan connected me to Cindy who told me it cost $99 to diagnose the problem, and another $99 to fix the problem, plus the parts. I asked if I can buy the parts myself since *** already gave me the numbers and I’d done the research online. Cindy said, “Yes” and told me if I want to buy or compare them to ***, to call their parts department at extension 155.

March 19, 2019---Tuesday:
I called *** 8:07 a.m. and spoke to Pat. I told her I am trying to figure out which would cost less, and told her *** wants $99 to come out and diagnose, and $99 to fix it, plus the parts, but since Debbie from their company told me Appliance Service Center applies the first visit to the cost to fix it, I thought I would go with them, and said I just want to make sure I understand correctly as the total cost for *** is 99 + 99 or $198. Pat said the information Debbie gave me was correct. Pat said Dennis H can come tomorrow and will call when he’s on his way here, but said I can call tomorrow morning at 9 a.m. to find out if Dennis will be coming in the morning or the afternoon.

Dennis H called sounding angry. Pat told me I couldn’t even call there until 9 a.m. to see if he’s coming in the morning or afternoon. Dennis said he’s on ***. I asked him to give me about 5 minutes. Sounding stern, he said, “Just five minutes”. I hurried upstairs, opened the garage door and turned on the kitchen lights. Although he said he was one street away, Dennis H didn’t show up for 15 minutes. Dennis said the top drawer breaks most often because it is used most often. I figured that. The bracket under the silverware holder was lose because I’d taken it apart earlier this morning. Dennis said the dishwasher will just keep running and running if the arms are blocked, and said you have to keep the pastic pieces exactly where they go. I told him I’d just been in there moving things for him, and explained that I do keep the pieces where they go. Dennis said the dishwasher was giving a reading that the heater was not working, but the heater is and has been working. Dennis told me to let both the bottom and top run until at least 1 p.m. and if it goes through then it’s okay, but if not, it might need the control panel which is expensive, or a heater even though the heat is working. What? I told him I’ve been running this and it will just keep running. He didn’t listen. Rather than waste a running load, I told Dennis if he wants me to run the bottom and top, I was going to put dishes in. Dennis said, “No, just let both the top and bottom run empty until 1 p.m. and let me know what happens”. Although I think this is crazy, I said, “Okay”.

Dennis H called. I told him the drawers did exactly as I knew they would; the bottom is fine and finished running (wastefully empty), and the top is running exactly as I said it would (also wastefully empty). Dennis said he would call with the parts price tomorrow.

March 21, 2019---Thursday: $?$?$?
Caller ID: Fax: *** 8:33 a.m. 03-21-2019

Dennis H called and told me the Control Module is $268. I told him there’s a brand new one on eBay for less, and told him *** quoted $179.29. Long pause, then Dennis said he’ll be angry with his supplier if he finds out he’s being charged more than he should be. Then, Dennis said he doesn’t even know if the Control Module is the problem, so he will have to come back next week, and charge me again for yet another trip to switch the top and bottom Control Panels to see if that’s the problem, and if that is not the problem, then Dennis said, he thinks it’s probably some heat thing. He said he would call me again tomorrow morning.

***Dennis H had me sign a little box connected to his iPad yesterday, just like in a store to pay for his visit. Today, I found Dennis H charged $128.40 to my Visa. What happened to the $104.95? I tried to check the paperwork he gave me, but his paperwork is way too faint to read; it is 100% indecipherable.

March 28, 2019---Thursday:
Dennis H never called back. Everyone I talked to about this told me to call and question the charge. So, I called 4*** PITTSBURGH, PA at 8:56 a.m. 1m 6s and reached the same Pat who told me it is $104.95 to come out and diagnose the problem. I told Pat my Visa says the charge is $128.40 and asked Pat why I was charged $128.40 when she quoted $104.95 to come out and tell me what is wrong with the top drawer of my dishwasher. Pat told me I was charged more because Dennis H had to run a diagnostic. I said, “What?” and Pat repeated the he had to run a diagnostic. I said, “Seriously”? Pat snipped at me, “Yes”. I hung up. And, he never did diagnose the problem.

4/19/19 *** The Revdex.com520 E Main Street, Suite 100Carnegie, PA 15106Re: IDEnclosure: Copy of signed invoice *** Reliable Appliance list price, credit card refund receipt, Tech GPS log showing 39 min service call Ms.:We are sorry Ms. is unhappy with our service of her *** double dish drawer. Unfortunately she did not inform us when she called that someone had made an attempt to repair before we got there. The base service call is $104.95 plus tax. That is applied to the completed job. Our technician diagnosed the dish drawers as needing a controller and fan plus a heater plate kit. The total for the completed job is $627.41. The customer said she can get the parts cheaper online and was going to repair themselves. As to the cost of the parts, we have enclosed the list price from Reliable Parts Distributor who is an authorized Fisher & P distributor. Our MSRP for the controller module is $268.58. Ms. called the manufacture for information. They gave her possible parts she may need and prices for those parts. This was a phone diagnosis with no actual technician looking at the unit. Those prices given to her by the manufacture are only available to consumers. Fisher & P no longer offers sales to service companies direct. As a courtesy we have refunded the labor charged of $16.10 to Ms.’s credit card on 4/18/19. Our service call of $112.30 will not be refunded as we came out to her home at her request, diagnosed the problem and gave her the estimate for the repair of the unit. Dear *** re: IDToday, May 1st, I received your letter dated April 29th, asking me to respond within 5 days. Thank you, and please accept this communication as my response. To be open, my Visa company has applied a full credit just as I was told they would, once they heard what Dennis H/Appliance Service Center (H***) did to me. Myagenda in sending the information to the Revdex.com was, and still is, to alert you as tohow H conducts business. I urge you to read H's online Feedback. I have learned a lesson... Had I read the feedback, I would not have called H.The H documents enclosed in your mailing are not accurate. Indeed, the information is false. As you can plainly see, H could not produce for you clearpaperwork signed by me, as the one and only piece of paper I received from Hwas 100% illegible, extremely faded, and it did not include the price as indicated in the horribly faded copy they sent to you. The only thing I saw/signed was a box connected to an iPad with a line requesting my signature. As a business habit, and without exception, every contact I make or receive is documented. In addition to my scanned documentation already submitted (enclosed), thank you for reading this, my more-easy-to-understand reiteration of what occurred and why I believe it is important for the Revdex.com to address H's business tactics. Background: For months, my top dishwasher drawer kept running without going intorinse mode. I had to manually stop it and then start Rinse mode; otherwise it just kept running. Concerned about unnecessary electric usage, and tired of having to stop the dishwasher and restart it in rinse mode, I finally called Fisher *** Fisher P gave me speculative ideas as to what the problem might be, along with part prices, and two phone numbers to call (*** and H).I called both the numbers Fisher P gave me. H told me they charge 104.95 to diagnose the problem, another 104.95 to fix the problem, plus parts. But, H said, if they fix it, the first charge would be deducted from the cost of fixing the problem. *** wanted $99 to diagnose the problem, $99 to fix the problem, plus the cost of the parts. Because H credits the 104.95 diagnosis when they fix it, I called H a second time to confirm the information I was given... that they were a better deal financially; Pat confirmed the information and said H could come the following day.H*** came the next day (he was not here 39m 27s as indicated in his paperwork I received from you) . I explained the problem and told him that my friend *** tried to help, that Andrew did research online, then sent an email telling me whatpart to buy on eBay for 24.95, that I bought the part February 19, 2019, that*** installed the part for me, but the dishwasher still had the same problem.H*** talked a bit, looked through the dishwasher, then instructed me to run both drawers of my dishwasher at the same time with nothing inside. Seemingly, there was no reason for this. Baffled, I told H the bottom drawer has no issue/problem. And, I said if I was going to run both, I would like to put things inside to wash. H said "No!" and insisted I run them both empty and said he would call after or around 1 o'clock. He left, then called and asked me what happened. I told him thesame thing that's happened for months... the same thing I told him would happen...the bottom ran fine, and the top just kept running and running. It was a complete waste of time, electricity and water. I have absolutely no idea why he told me to run both drawers empty and then left! H said he would call me the next day.The following day (March 21) H called and told me he "thinks" it might be a Control Module, but said he also thinks it may have something to do with a heater, despite the heater worked fine. H said he had to come back and switch the Control Module from the top dishwasher drawer with the Control Module from the bottom dishwasher drawer to see if that is the problem. So, H said, he would have to charge me to come out again. And, H said, if it is the Control Module, the part cost $268. (about $100 more than other prices I was given or found online for a Control Module/Panel, including from Fisher ***) H said he would call me the following morning to make arrangements to come over again next week to switch to Control Modules and try to figure out whether or not that is the problem. To date, H has never called me back and did not diagnose the problem.

Without telling me, H charged 128.40 to my Visa, not 104.95. Another week went by and again, I never heard from H. I decided to call, question the charge and find out what's going on. I called H March 28th and Pat told me I was charged extra because H, and this is a verbatim quote, "had to run a diagnostic". Isaid, "What"? I thought to myself, "Who are these people? and What kind of a scamare they running?" I remember asking Pat, "Seriously?" She was rude to me. I ended up hanging up on her. I did not get what I paid for as it was not even diagnosed, and H wanted to come back again and charge me again to "diagnose the problem" again. I figured I'd been had. Everyone I talked to told me to dispute it with my Visa company which I did. I feel scammed by H and am completely convinced by what I received from you that H is dishonest...In my effort to explain H's dishonesty, I want the Revdex.com to know that I have had the dishwasher fixed. I contacted an electrician (***) April 1st and left a message asking for help. I received a return call from *** that same April 1st. *** came to my home on April 3rd to look at the dishwasher. *** told *** and I that *** had improperly connected/installed the 24.95 part I purchased on February 19th. *** fixed the dishwasher in a matter of minutes. And, after *** and I told the electrician what H did to me, and because *** said he was only here less than 10 minutes, he did not even want to charge me. Very nice man. I insisted I pay him, and I certainly did pay the electrician who fixed my dishwasher. I think afterreading this you will agree... Shame on H!

Dear ***,In looking at what Dennis H wanted me to pay (never saw it before I got your paperwork), I thought I should show you the part that I got to fix it (enclosed). H over $600, the part that fixed it $24.95. Wow! Dishonest is an understatement. Thank you again. Boy there sure are some bad ones out there.Joyce
