Purchased a *** Washing Machine from this appliance store
on October 6, 2017, had a 1 yr warranty for service labour. They do not deliver so I paid $300.00 to have it picked up and installed. Within one week I had problems with it and called the store. They told me to call the repair man, *** from *** - they had written the name and telephone number on the back of the receipt. He said at first he would come, 3 weeks later when he didn't call back I called and he said he has no contract with the appliance store and is not going to fix it. I called the store the manager told me she was having problems with him and she would send someone else. Nothing happens for another month - so I called the manager again and she told me to take it to *** in Mississauga, she said there was no cash refund and I couldn't take it back to her. Called *** at least 10 times and they said they could do nothing as there is no serial number or model number on it. After 4 months I got on the ***'s website and found it was on their recall list. Dangerous to use as when it goes into the spin the machine blows apart. There have been several injuries - they had sent letters to everyone that bought any of their 3 toploading models which were defective, but, of course. I just bought mine and I had no way of knowing. I called the Appliance store several times and told them that and it is illegal to sell an appliance without a serial number & model number, it is definitely illegal because it doesn't have the *** & *** government Certification Approvals sticker on it. They don't seem to care. I am not allowed to go into the store anymore, a security guard in the mall was called to remove me and they have also blocked me from even calling. I am extremely upset. This has gone on for 4 months now, I am a senior citizen and cannot afford to buy another washing machine. I also have picked up instructions from the court to see if I could file a small claims court lawsuit - If you can Please help me!!!

Desired Outcome

Refund I no longer trust the company and do not want a replacement They couldn't come up with the promise of the 1 year warranty - and because they sold me an appliance with no stickers, I can only assume they are not too reputable - I would like to put them out of business. If the washer could blow up and they know that how can they get away with this'?? My health is in jeopardy. I have typed pages of documentation explaning this matter. Can I email it to you'??

In late January 2018, I was working at appliance superstore when a lady with red curly hair entered. I had recognize her voice when she began to speak to me because I had spoken to her multiple times over the telephone. Upon speaking with the lady I asked her to leave the premises because she was banned from our store due to theft from a previous infraction. This being said when I asked her to leave she refused and I had to call security.
When speaking to the woman over the telephone in regards to her washer she became very vulgar and started calling me extremely rude names. She was not cooperative with the fact that we as EMPLOYEES were doing our best to get her money back and we were extremely empathetic.
When she was in our store she was harrasing customers and threatening to slander our names personally including the store itself.
She was never cooperative with anything we had offered, she claimed to call the man from *** but when we spoke to him he claimed to have never spoken to her.
I myself as employee always approached the situation level headed and tried to assist in every way I could.
We have discussed with her how we would like to proceed and when told we were trying to get money back she screamed at us and just threatened us. We have tried everything to assist.

Thank you Ms ***, I have now managed to see the reply from the Appliance Superstore I have been problems with my computer and had a technician come out to fix it yesterday
I am now in the process of my rebuttal and reply - Almost everything they said was a blatant lie - It is unbelievable how they could lie that much and think they can get away with it - they must surely know that I can prove they are lying in so many ways
This case has gone on for 5 months - and did they just sit back and think I was going to accept it
1) I was not banned from the store for theft
2) They blocked me from even calling them after the third month and also from going into their store - not because of theft
but my continuous calls and complaints about the washing machine - it was at that point that I found out why there was no
Model Number & Serial Number - they sold it illegally and I told them it was on ***'s recall list and also on Health Canada's recall list
- Guess they did not want to hear anymore
- There was a danger for my health to even use it - I have sent my complaint to Health Canada - The Consumer Protection Safety Program
- they have replied and said they will look into it further - but they cannot force the store to give me back my money
- I have also sent my complaint to the Executives of the *** in Welland - where the appliance centre is located - have heard nothing back
- I do intend to follow up with them
- On the news channel with *** every night at 6:00 - Replied very busy but would try to get to it
- ***- Class Action law suit against *** - have joined the law suit -
but they said it would probably a couple of years for it to get to court
3) They have never offered to give me my money back - In fact, if you read my original complaint - a week after I bought it
- I called ***, manager of the store, and she said to call *** Manager of *** in Mississauga - since I had the one year warranty for parts and labour
and he would come out and fix it - you know how that ended
4) At first in my original complaint I explained all the details which happened when I called *** at *** - at one time
in my conversation with someone who called from the appliance centre - I think she said she was the wife of the owner -
she said that I was I threatening to put it all over *** and ruin their reputation, in which case they will sue me for *** - I just hung up She called another time, this was at the end of the fourth. month, after my purchase and said that she doesn't even know who to believe anymore because
*** of *** called her and told her that he did come out to repair the washer and told them there was nothing wrong with it
- sold a machine with no serial or model numbers and no government stickers - on a recall list - nothing wrong with it???
-Starting about this time, yes, I became very rude and upset when conversing with them - that was the last straw
- Called the store and was very abrupt that they could lie like that and they knew that *** did not ever come out
- Called *** and did get very abrupt calling him a liar and cheat - it turns out *** never told them that and they were lying to me
- I apologized to *** for that - he evidentially did not know what those liars were saying
5) Now in their reply to my complaint - They state that I have never called *** or talked him - absurd!!!

Talked to *** yesterday - naturally. he does not want his name or company to get involved
I told him about the lies that were sent to you from the Appliance Centre and copied him in on that - telling him that I appreciate he wants to help
and is innocent in the whole ordeal - but I must get a statement from him that they were lying and he never came to my place
- and further the latest lie from the appliance centre - that I never did ever call *** or talk to him
I called him yesterday and told him that he has to tell the truth to Revdex.com if you call him - Otherwise, if I have to go to court - I already have the papers to apply
He will be involved whether he likes it or not - He was extremely upset that they still had not returned my money or fixed the problem
He immediately got on the phone with the owner of *** - Mr. ***, who told me to send him the original complaint and all proceedings after that I sent all the documentation yesterday - because of computer problems it did not go through - had a technician come and fix it - resent today
Looks like it went through - he said that once h reads the documentation and finds that it is truthful
- he will authorize the Appliance Superstore to give me my money back - *** told me that months ago - but it never happened
-This is the head honcho - so I am thinking that it will be resolved
In the reply from the store - you are asking me if I accept their offer - there was no offer - just a bunch of lies
Please let this case continue for a few days more - to see if it can be resolved by Mr. *** of ***
