Our policy is for ever used vehicle we sell to pass state inspection in the state it was soldOur company has dealerships, located in the tri-state area from Annapolis Md, down to Richmond VA, and each dealership ensures their pre-owned vehicles are in compliance with the state they are located inThe customer purchased from us in Virginia but lives in MdOur standard practice is we have the customer take it to one of our stores in Maryland where we can pay the $it costs for the actual inspection itself, as opposed to having the customer pay for itDuring the inspection of this particular vehicle we were told it needed appx$worth of work in order for it to pass Md inspectionWe are a Virginia dealership and would have no way of knowing this as we're obviously not certified to do Md state inspectionsOnce this information was brought to our attention we offered to pay either $of the $needed to pass inspection as our other store offered to lower the labor costs to get the bill down to $4500, or gave the customer the option of returning the vehicle for a 100% refundWe feel this is a fair compromiseWe are even willing at this point to pay $of the repair which would leave the customer with $of the required amount to pass Maryland inspection, or again they can return it for a 100% refundAny other fair compromise we're willing to consider as well

We're willing to do the free alignment check that the customer is requesting

Revdex.com:The truth still isn't being told, as "touch-up" paint was never agreed toI will accept the $reimbursement because I longer trust my vehicle at Sheehy and am tired of being treated as if I haven't spent thousands of dollars at your dealership You're not doing me a favor or "good-will" gestureStand by your work and appreciate the customerImmediately after submitting invoice within same day or business day in handWork will be performed next week I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me Regards, [redacted] ***

In reference to the bounced check [redacted] wrote, regardless of whether it was a "gift" or not, it's a felony in the state of Virginia to write a bad checkAs far as the new contract, the dealership does not make final approvals, lenders such as Honda finance doIn this case, we made every effort to have Honda Finance approve the new loan and they would notTherefore [redacted] is responsible for initial contract she signed for

Again, as we mentioned in previous communications, our two options are to reimburse the customer once she has the repair completed, with an invoice showing the $has been paid, or the 2nd option would be to redo the paintwork with a company the dealership works withAgain this is a goodwill repair, and something above and beyond the "touch-up" that was promised as part of the sale

The customer was aware that is was their responsibility to have the Md Inspection done within days at their expense, and I have included the document both the customer and his co-applicant signed at the time of sale stating they would get the inspection done and at their expenseRegardless of this, we're still willing to pay $of the Inspection costs which we feel is very fair, or return the vehicle and give the customer a full refund

We would be happy to cancel [redacted]'s warranty and get him a refund. We can also offer him a $1500 discount off of the repair if he would like to move forward and complete the repair. The extended warranty he purchased does cover some of the hybrid components but the actual battery is considered...

a "maintenance" item and not covered under the warranty. Just the same as a normal battery on a non-hybrid vehicle would not be covered under any type of warranty, including even the manufacturer's warranty you get with a brand new vehicle. If [redacted] wants to cancel the warranty he would need to contact one of our four finance managers and request a cancellation form, which I've also attached to this email, fill it out and include the necessary documents and we can get his warranty cancelled and refunded to him. He can return it to my attention.Sina M[redacted]General ManagerSheehy Honda Alexandria###-###-#### Main###-###-#### direct[redacted]@sheehy.com

We're more than happy to refund the $120 to make the customer happy,.

Again, as we mentioned in previous communications, our two options are to reimburse the customer once she has the repair completed, with an invoice showing the $560 has been paid, or the 2nd option would be to redo the paintwork with a company the dealership works with. Again this is a goodwill...

repair, and something above and beyond the "touch-up" that was promised as part of the sale.

Tell us why here...Sheehy Honda will be happy to remove the customer from the mailing list and email list. As far as the communication from Honda the customer would need to contact American Honda and ask to be removed from their communication list, as we do not initiate those. The number to reach...

American Honda to be asked to be removed from their list would be ###-###-####.If the customer could please send me their full name, address the mail is coming to, and also email address the communications are coming to, I would be happy to get them removed right away. I can be reached at [redacted]@sheehy.com or through the Revdex.com portal. Sina M[redacted]General ManagerSheehy Honda Alexandria###-###-#### main###-###-#### direct line

We're willing to do the free alignment check that the customer is requesting.

Our policy is for ever used vehicle we sell to pass state inspection in the state it was sold. Our company has 25 dealerships, located in the tri-state area from Annapolis Md, down to Richmond VA, and each dealership ensures their pre-owned vehicles are in compliance with the state they are located...

in. The customer purchased from us in Virginia but lives in Md. Our standard practice is we have the customer take it to one of our stores in Maryland where we can pay the $80 it costs for the actual inspection itself, as opposed to having the customer pay for it. During the inspection of this particular vehicle we were told it needed appx. $5500 worth of work in order for it to pass Md inspection. We are a Virginia dealership and would have no way of knowing this as we're obviously not certified to do Md state inspections. Once this information was brought to our attention we offered to pay either $2500 of the $4500 needed to pass inspection as our other store offered to lower the labor costs to get the bill down to $4500, or gave the customer the option of returning the vehicle for a 100% refund. We feel this is a fair compromise. We are even willing at this point to pay $3000 of the repair which would leave the customer with $1500 of the required amount to pass Maryland inspection, or again they can return it for a 100% refund. Any other fair compromise we're willing to consider as well.

This customer bounced a check in the amount of $2500 which is a class 6 felony in the state of Va. Currently instead of pursuing legal options we worked with the customer to try and make right on the bounced check. The customer was able to come up with $1500 which we collected and contacted...

Honda Finance to see if they would approve the new lease with only $1500 instead of the original $2500. Honda finance would not approve the new lease, so we notified the customer they are still responsible for the original $2500 or remaining $1000 that's left of the down payment after the $1500 she paid. Customer insists she wants the option of the $1500 down payment lease but with Honda finance not approving it there's no option for us to offer that to her.

Revdex.com:The truth still isn't being told, as "touch-up" paint was never agreed to. I will accept the $560 reimbursement because I longer trust my vehicle at Sheehy and am tired of being treated as if I haven't spent thousands of dollars at your dealership.  You're not doing me a favor or "good-will" gesture. Stand by your work and appreciate the customer. Immediately after submitting invoice within same day or 1 business day in hand. Work will be performed next week.
