Review: BIG MISTAKE CHOOSING THIS ESTABLISHMENT!!! BUYERS BEWARE!!!I purchased a used dryer from this warehouse in July 2013 with the knowledge and understanding that I may have some problems after about a year to a year and an half because of my choice to buy used, but this dryer didn't last six months. This purchase has been a disaster from the start. When the dryer was delivered it had to be taken apart because it wouldn't fit through the door. As the deliver man was putting the dryer back together he accidently dropped a screw inside the dryer. He then proceeded to turn the dryer upside down to get the screw to fall out--I thought to myself this couldn't be good and expressed that to the deliver man and he assured me that everything would be ok. I'm sure this had to be one of the contributing factors to why this dryer is not working less than six months later. When I expressed this information to the lady in charge her lack of concern was overwhelming. I left her my number per her request to call with a possible resolution and she never called. I made one more attempt to try to resolve this issue and she said that she would have her repair technician call to set up a date and time to come take a look at the dryer but once again I never heard from anyone. This is an ABSOLUTE DISGRACE and not the way you do business. I felt like I wasted my money and time. And I will never do business with these people again!Desired Settlement: I think it's only fair that this dryer be replaced.

MAY 17, 2014Dear Revdex.com:This is in response to the Complaint by [redacted] as stated in his Complaint. He stated in his Complaint that the dryer did not last 6 months. His warranty for the used dryer was 90 days from the date of purchase. We are glad the customer acknowledged himself that it was a disaster. He came to our store, picked out and purchased the dryer himself. He expected us to know the size of his doorway which was too small. We had to take the dryer apart to accommodate getting the dryer through the doorway and rebuild on the other end. He refused to pay us for the service which is 30.00 for the breakdown. We had to leave without the money. As we can clearly see the customer ignorance is all over the complaint.IN SUMMARY1. Acknowledge that the dryer lasted almost 6 months while his warranty was for 90 days.2. Customer acknowledges that his doorway was too small.Because the dryer lasted for the duration of the warranty, we feel that this Complaint is not warranted and should not be recorded.Respectfully,

Review: On Saturday, 8/30/2014 I purchased an ** Refrigerator from the Appliance Warehouse and Beyond located at 900 E. [redacted]nue. I paid for the refrigerator up front plus taxes and delivery for a total of $558.00. The refrigerator was supposed to be delivered on Tuesday, 9/2/2014 between 2:30pm and 5:30pm. I was told they would call when the delivery driver arrived to the store on Tuesday to give me a better time estimate. I waited in the house all afternoon and finally called the store. I was told the delivery driver's truck had broken down but that he would still be delivering the fridge. Sometime after 5pm the driver called to say that the refigerator's fan was blowing but "not like it should be" and that they would like to deliver another refrigerator from another store in the interim because it was not a part that they had on hand and that it needed to be replaced. I was told it would be 1-2 weeks before the part arrived. After consulting with my husband I informed them that I did not want another fridge to be brought in the interim. That it would be too much in and out and that we could wait 1-2 weeks because our current fridge (although leaking) was still running at the moment. After 2 weeks I called the store and was told that they had not forgotten about me. After 3 weeks I called on 9/20/2014 and was told the part arrived and that the fridge would arrive Tuesday, 9/23/14. As expected the fridge arrived on the afternoon of 9/23/2014. The 3 gentlemen took away my old refrigerator and provided me with the ** refrigerator I purchased. The fridge appeared to be working, however when I woke up on 9/24/2014 the controls no longer worked, the fridge temperature was all the way down and could not be adjusted, and the freezer was building up ice. I called the store that day and informed them. The woman who answered the phone knew who I was but gave the phone to a gentlemen who said "the fridge works just fine - the repair man will come out and show you". Needless to say the repair man never came. On Saturday, 9/27/2014 after our food was spoiling and had to be thrown away my husband went to the store because there was no answer on the phone (they have caller ID and their phone works fine but my calls were unanswered and my phone call was not returned after leaving a VM). There he was told they had tried to call several times and that their phone did not work. As a home health nurse I answer my calls - whether the numbers are familiar or not and I had no voicemails or missed calls between Wednesday and that point. My husband was told they would be calling me to arrange repairs. He told them he would check back in with them. They did call my phone at approximately 3:30pm from their other location and told me that a repair man was on his way right then. My husband had gone to drop someone off and stopped back at the [redacted] location only to find that they had locked up and closed the store at approximately 3:40pm when their business hours state that they should have remained open until 5:30pm. In the mean time two hours went by and we called the other location back to inform them that the repair man had not arrived, that our food was going bad, that my husband was missing work waiting for them, and that now after 4 weeks we wished to be refunded our money because the refrigerator did not work and that the entire process had been a nightmare. We were told the repairman would still be out. Shortly after a gentleman arrived. He walked into the kitchen opened the refrigerator and said, "your defroster is not working. I don't know why. Well it might be the computer. I can't fix it. I don't know what to tell you. I will let them know". He then walked out of the house with not another word having spent less that 2 minutes at our residence. I gave him 10-15 minutes to contact the store himself and then my husband called and asked for a refund for the "unrepairable" fridge per their repairman. He was informed that they would contact me. I called them myself after not receiving a call at now 6pm on 9/27/2014 and informed them that since it was Saturday night and I have 5 children and now no groceries I would be going to Lowes to purchase a fridge that worked since they could not get me another one (if they had one comparable) until Monday or Tuesday. I again asked for a refund. I was told that he "could not help me with that" and when I asked who could I was told the "owner/manager" and that he would have him contact me. My husband has called them several times in between Saturday 9/27 and Tuesday 9/29/2014 with promises of call backs. The employee my husband spoke to and who promised to call back on Monday, 9/29/2014 informed my husband that we "refused to allow for repairs to be made" and was immediately informed that their repair man stated he could not repair it and left without attempting repairs. It is now Wednesday, 10/1/2014, 5 days later and after several attempts and promises of call backs I still have the fridge, no call back, and no refund.Desired Settlement: I would like for the refridgerator to be picked up and a refund to be issued in the amount of $528.00 which is the amount of $558.00 I paid minus the delivery charge of $30.00 which is the only service they upheld.
