The appliances were sold to their builder not directly to the customer therefore there was no extra warranty offered and the customer never came back to inquire about itWe did the work that was originally needed as the tech report is as
follows:
March 4th tech found that the compressor was not functioning properly and needed to be replacedThere was still Freon in the lines at that point which did not suggest to us that there was anything wrong with the evaporator at that time, but the Freon was slowly going through the lines as per the compressor was not sufficient enough to be able to push it through as strongWe replaced the customer's compressor as was agreed upon and *** directly had an agreement with the customer, not through us, to refund half of the parts cost once a invoice was sent in to them
On March 9th we replaced the compressor and tested the fridge and all of the levels were proper and everything was working at that pointMarch 28th the customer called us, Appliances Unlimited, and told us that the fridge was not coolingWe offered them an appointment next day on March 29th to come back and look at the fridge but *** told us that she did not need us as she had contacted *** and they were going to send someone out
March 29th *** called back stating that the technician from *** was not coming and asked us to come out same day, but our technician had already started his calls and had a full day bookedWe offered to come out next day March 30th which we then booked inTo make sure that she was not going to be charged we went out of our way to contact *** to get authorization for them to cover the cost to re-diagnose the fridge
When our technician went out on March 30th he found that there was minimal Freon in the lines that was slowly leaking out which meant that there was now an issue with the evaporatorThe new compressor was working as it should still but the evaporator issue was completely new which means that the work would not be covered under our rework policy which is days labor and days on ONLY the parts that we had installed
March 31st we connected with *** to check to see what they had tried to do for this customer as they are the ones who issues like this must go through since they manufactured the unit, not us, and they have stated that they had offered the customer a discounted price on a new unit or covering another half of the partsWe asked *** as well regarding the check that was supposed to be sent to the customer and their statement to us was "The customer had talked to us (***) on March 30th and refused the check that we (***) were going to mail out to them for half of the parts costs spent to replace the compressor."
We are not responsible for any time that any of our customers that have to take off of work to have repairs done no matter the issue or repairIf the customer wants any type of refund, reimbursement or replacement they need to talk to *** as the fridge was manufactured by them not usWe can only try our best to repair the unit but if the customer does not want to pay to have it fixed, unfortunately we cannot do anything for them as it was not an issue with our technicians' workmanship
We will not be refunding, repairing or paying for any cabinet work for ***
