Review: In August of 2014, I began parking at Applied Property Management's lot, 1010 Clinton Street, Hoboken NJ, 07030. Shortly after, I realized my spot was under a tree with a birds nest, where birds would waste on my car in large volumes, causing paint damage to my car. I had to get car washes, my door repainted due to paint chipping, and I even had to have my lock replaced because the bird poop had corroded inside. The bird poop was so much, that it covered my entire spot ground and would be all over my shoes as I got in my car, and would get in my interior. It was disgusting.

As per the lease, they are responsible for "maintaining the surface of the parking lot and space and keep common areas of the lot free of debris or obstruction." If you could see these pictures I took, you would be sick. I brought this to the attention of [redacted] on November 12th, 2014, asking for something to be done, but was not responded to. I followed up that email multiple times, no response. I called, left messages for 2 weeks, but got no call back. I finally became fed up and informed them on December 2nd I would withold payment until something was done. They did not respond. I have proof of all of these - all unsanswered emails and calls. I also have a conversation recorded where they refuse to speak to me because I brought the issue up. Once I spoke to them, I returned my key, terminated my lease, and let it be. I got a bill for December, Jan, Feb in Early March - when I inquired, they said I never terminated my lease. I in fact did, and they said I never returned my key, which I did, but theyre saying I didnt. They refuse to look for the key, or through in-office footage, and are insisting I pay the entire bill, plus late charges, or they will send me to collections. They are bullying me. I spoke to their lawyer who even considers them unreasonable and was on my side, but they wont budge, nor try to resolve the matter.Desired Settlement: I dont deserve to pay a single dime for 1) the damage to my car, 2) the stress and frustration, 3) the fact that I didnt use the services at all and 4) their blatant disregard for responding to a customer at all, let alone in a timely, professional manner.

I offered to pay even $460 which is all but $40 of the $500 they are charging me - for a spot I didnt use for the months, in addition to the damage I got from parking there! - and they would not accept that, nor explain to me why, nor be willing to speak on the phone. They told me they would call the cops if I came to speak to them last week, and then their lawyer convinced them to sit down to speak to me - I work 10 hour days, 8 am to 6pm in the very least, they wont make time after hours to see me besides 5:30, which I cant make, and they wont even speak to me on the phone at any point if I call or try to setup a time to speak.

I really think I not only should have $0 balance, and not $500.
