Dear [redacted]This letter is in response to a complaint that was received by the Revdex.com on March 31,2016 from Ms [redacted] . Ms . [redacted] came into our office at Chartwell Berry Shoals at 9:00 am on Tuesday March 29, 2016 to report a rat with...
babies in her apartment . [redacted]'s pest control was in the office at that time to pick up the list for his weekly service. The service tech went immediately to Ms [redacted]'s apartment and assessed the problem . When he returned to the office he informed myself that he did not see any rodents or signs of a rodent but he put out five traps to be proactive . On March 30 2016 Wednesday evening at 7:35 Ms [redacted] called the emergency line for emergency maintenance and spoke with [redacted] our maintenance supervisor . She told him that there was a rat in her apartment and wanted someone to come out immediately to catch it . Mr [redacted] told her that pest control was not an emergency that we did after hours . After a second call to the emergency line the property manager [redacted] [redacted] returned her call to see what the problem was. I tried to calm Ms [redacted] and told her I would be in her apartment the first thing the next morning to see what could be done. On Thursday March 31 2016 around 9:15 myself and [redacted] went to the apartment to assess the problem ,at that time I took a hanger and dug around in the drawers to see if anything was in there. I did not see any signs of a rodent at that time . When I returned to the office Ms [redacted] called me and was very distraught she was yelling and cussing . She complained that I did not spend enough time in her apartment and that we should have be able to capture the rodent . She told me that she would be contacting our corporate office and the news agency . I instructed her that I would get additional sticky traps to put in her apartment and inspect it again later in the day . She then sent an email to our corporate office. She was then contacted by our senior manager [redacted] and she told her we would be in her apartment later in the day to see what else could be done . Around 12 :00 pm Ms [redacted] and myself went to the apartment and witness that she had called out her own pest control company . I asked them if they were able to catch the rodents and was told no . We were told by their pest control technicians that they were taking a different approach by putting down poison. We do not allow our pest control company to apply poisons as it could be a dangerous to pets and children . I asked them how long it would it take to kill the rodents and was told a few days . We discussed some caulking that could be done to prevent entry into the apartment and that was completed by [redacted] before 3 :30 that same day. Around 1:00 Ms [redacted] called Ms [redacted] to let her know that if she brought a receipt from her pest control company that we would credit it to her account . Ms [redacted] then told Ms [redacted] that the rodents had chewed on some of her children' s clothing and she would have to purchase new ones. Ms [redacted] instructed her to bag up the damaged clothing and to bring to the office for us to assess. [redacted]'s pest was also called today and we instructed them to put out exterior bait boxes . We were told by [redacted]'s that we would be put on the schedule. We have tried to address Ms [redacted] problem in a timely manner and give her good customer service. We value her has a resident and want to continue to have a good relationship with her. I would like to start with apology for any misunderstanding between Ms [redacted] and myself. I look forward to a god relationship with her in the upcoming future .
