Please see the attached letter. Thank You! Linda F*, G.Mof Operations

To Whom It May Concern; Please read the attached letter that was mailed certified to *** ***. Prior to the vehicle being towed to Midas, at the shops expense, on April 28, it was at the shop for unrelated issues on April 26. At that time the technician pulled the engine
codes for her at no charge and found misfire issues. They recommended spark plugs, coils, and related components to which she declined. There was no leakage or overheating issues. This she confirmed when Linda, Director of Operations for Automotive Group, Inc., tried to talk with her on May by phone. When the vehicle was towed in on April 28, the vehicle had overheated due to the filler assembly, which is a plastic elbow that is connected to but separate from the radiator, having been cracked. If this would have been cracked on either of her previous visits there is no way that the system would have held pressure and it would have been leaking heavily. Between the time the vehicle left on April and the return on April 28, someone had replaced the spark plugs and coils, indicating that someone else had worked on this vehicle. From the damage on the filler assembly, it is very possible that whoever did that repair may have unintentionally damaged the cracked component as the failure of this assembly seldom occurs. The damage to that component is what caused the failure of the system creating her current issues. Midas proudly stands behind the repairs we make and should we fail, we take care to go above and beyond for our customers. What we cannot do is take responsibilities for issues that are out of our control or created by others not in our employ. We do sympathize with Ms*** but cannot take responsibility for an issue that did not exist at the time we did the repairs, nor existed at the time it returned for other issues over 1,miles later.Should Revdex.com have any questions or suggestions, we welcome them from you. Best Regards, Mike P***, PresidentAutomotive Group, Inc./ Midas Auto Service

Regards,
*** *** For starters they heard nothing of the ball joint issue because what would be the point? I never blamed them for it, all I said is they should have noticed it per my mechanic, my mechanic picked it up with a floor Jack moved the tire up and down and knew exactly what it was, and said midas should have to, as well as the new tire wear only on that tire on the side the damage was done, for the equinox they did check it out per them ad said they thought it may need new brakes lolIt had new brakes on it and the mechanic at midas said he should have checked it out better!!!! And I did tell them I will get it back to them but it would have to be towed the miles I wish I had never traveled to get my vehicles fixed, and they agreed it would be cheaper to let my mechanic take care of it then decided after the fact that they would pay of so gracious, and my mechanic was aware of the noise and when he inspected it he called me and asked me who put the new tires on it I only said midas and he said they tightened the lugs up without being sure the wheel was all the way on and the lugs were tightened out of sequence and caused the rotor to warp and other issues, midas caused the damage and was negligent and will never admit to it, I would never take a vehicle there again if broke down next door, very bad and more! !!!!!

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that the response would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
The letter that was addressed to me contain false information1. My vehicle never left the Midas  April 26th, until Linda and I spoken and she stated that I would be charged storage fees after showing my frustration of the matter. I had my vehicle immediately towed on 5/07/20162. Per Midas associate the codes at the initial inspection read C1201 and C1202, as documented on the Midas Touch Visual Courtesy Inspection, these are the same codes that read at the time of my second arrival on April 26th, which further lets me know that this had absolutely nothing to do with the over heating of my vehicle.3. 1300 miles from April 26, 2016 to April 28th is highly impossible especially considering the fact that Midas had possession of my vehicle until 5/7/2016. Even then 1300 miles is still impossible to put on a vehicle in less then a month, when all you do is school and home!4. My initial visit there were several lights on, on the dash, however; when asked what they meant or pertained to Steve O[redacted] stated that VSC meant that there was a computerized system in my vehicle that caused that light to come on, and it would need to be hooked up to this system in order to regain its stability and complete function. The check engine light was also on, Steve stated that he could take a look and correct this as well, this was the reason for the full inspection. According to Steve he had repaired all problems related to the lights, there was no lights on at the time I picked my vehicle up.5. Midas stated that the vehicle had no leaks at the time of initial repair, there document states clearly there was indeed a leak, and specifically with the coolant. In fact as I review the paper work coolant was marked twice. However, the President and his associate Linda (whom inspected the vehicle herself) stated the vehicle had leaks at the time of breakdown 4/26/2016, and specifically coolant which again suggest that the origin of the problem was not repaired. Also when Jesse the store manager inspected the vehicle he stated that the vehicle had no coolant at all, to my boyfriend.6. The placement of the spark plugs is irrelevant, it has nothing at all to do with the radiator or leaks that I paid 1300 dollars to correct. 7. Per Steve and his estimate on 4/26/2016 the vehicle needed spark plugs, fuel system service, and spark boot totaling 679.82 please see estimate at the time of overheating and a dead motor.  Not engine coolant, motor, or the so called cracked piece running directly from the radiator that was just replaced for 1300+ dollars.I have included all documents from Midas, and their associates, which clearly suggest that they are at fault for the the motor going out in my vehicle. I've never known a spark plug, or a boot to cause over heating in a vehicle, and ultimately kill a motor. But according to Steve and Midas it can happen! This company has no integrity! No honesty behind its name. I request that I be refunded in full!
