On Sept15, me and my family rented a bedroom cabin Around 1am both bedrooms was covered with bedbugs We called the company and they refunded our money except for the first night because it took 4hrs to pack up and load all of our stuff trying not to contaminate our jeep We put everything that we could into garbage bags and threw away our luggage bagsThe cleaning lady and a gentleman came to the cabin and wanted to know what was taking so long so we told themThe gentleman went into one of the bedrooms and said he seen no bugsMy wife had keep some in a zip lock baggie and showed themWe got most of money back and went to the laundry mat and washed our clothesWe went to Wal-Mart and bought so begbug spray for our cartop carrier and the shelf was full and I bought cans We had go back there later that evening and the shelf was almost empty I guess they found the bugs lolThe cabin was clean until that nightMy son and mother-in-law are being treated for bedbug bites September 23,
Beautiful scenery. Cabins were clean but the owners were absolutely rediculace. Great place to stay if you want them up in your business. They sneek around in the basement of the cabin that YOU have rented. When you pay that kind of money for some time away, you would expect a little privacy.
They asked us to leave because I have an 8 pound Chiweenie that was my SERVICE DOG (required by my physician). She was in her crate and making no noise. Beause their policy prohibits pets, we were understanding of this request and left without incident. We were very kind and respectful and caused no problems. We left the cabin spotless and even left a rank of wood that we had just purchased for the fireplace. They kept $300 of our hard earned money for two nights that we didn't even stay there. Which would be understandable if we caused a scene or trashed the place. But we had not. I had stayed before and this wasn't an issue. We drove 10 hours and over 500 miles to stay in those cabins. I had saved every dime I had for 6 months for this vacation and had such high hopes and plans. But because they kept my money, we were going to have to spend the rest of our vacation in our car. We had no where else to go. Thankfully, we found a friend of the family that lives in Pigeon Forge and he let us stay in his guests room. Thanks to a kind man who didn't even know us, we still had a Happy Thanksgiving. As for the greedy owner of Honeysuckle Ridge, I pray for your selfish "little" heart.
