They did not bring my aisle or my stage covering for my ceremony on the day of my wedding.I did not have a coordinator so I didn't realize that it was missing until I was already walking down the aisle. Given the fact I anticipate to be married one time I expected apres to compensate me for missing my wedding. I not only expected refund but I did expect punitive damages for the fact that no one ever showed up. They offered me $200 which I did not think was sufficient given the does the severity of the problem. Their response was they would only give me $200 and I should have called their emergency line if isle covering was not there. They made me sign a contract and pay upfront so I only think it's fair that if they do not perform on that contract that they compensate me for that more than $200. They have not responded to me since I told them that I wanted more than $200.
We have told her repeatedly that this was our fault and that we are so sorry. We refunded her 100% of her paid amount immediately. We also told her that we would give her an additional refund of $200.00 for the inconvenience that this caused her which we feel is more than generous. We have taken full responsibility for our mistake, and feel that our generous refund was over and above our responsibility. We are sorry that she wants more, but we cannot offer her more money. This was a small rental order and her request for "punitive damages" is unrealistic and abusive.
