Almost in an accident by one of their drivers
I never purchased from them and never will. As I was driving home from work, one of there drivers used a lane that ended ( he was further back but hit the gas) to force me to either stop or go into on coming traffic as he swerved his van into me. Never wants to be slow down or you at all. Later down the road, we were at the intersection where you could go to the left or right lane to go on different roads. He put his blinker on to go to the right lane and then swear in front of the left lane to cut off. Traffic seem almost caused another major accident by cutting off a bunch of cars. If this is how you delivery service feels about people on the road and obviously you do not care about people being your customers. I will never buy from a company who thinks I’m worthless and my life is meaningless. The vans carry your company logo therefore you are responsible for their actions. This was in Westchester NY.

Horrible Experience
I have just had a horrendous experience with AptDeco and would highly recommend never using them.

I ordered a two piece sectional couch through the website. The listing stated it was from a pet free home and had minor tearing at the bottom of one of the pieces.

AptDeco on their website states they will inspect the furniture and contact you for any discrepancies. I was not contacted prior to delivery and it became very clear that AptDeco did not do an inspection of the furniture as promised by their website.

1. They won't provide potential delivery dates and times until after purchase. That was red flag one I shouldn't have ignored. The earliest delivery date was 2 weeks away. Keep that in mind if you want something quickly.

2. I was given a 1pm-5pm time slot. They didn't show until 7pm.

3. The couch was poorly wrapped and not completely covered. As they delivered it, it picked up dirt from truck to sidewalk to hallway to stairs to my apartment.

4. Once the couch was inside my apartment they unwrapped it. It was missing all of the seat cushions.

5. The "minor tear" on the bottom was that the entire bottom of one of the two pieces was completely removed on have and had giant holes in the other part.

6. The couch was covered in animal hair even though the listing said it was from a pet free home.

7. The delivery people wouldn't take the couch back even though it clearly wasn't anywhere in the condition that the photos showed, the seat cushions were all missing, and it was covered in animal hair.

Clearly no one on the AptDeco team inspected the couch as the website promises. The people that picked up the couch should have rejected it on sight.

I now have a huge sectional I can't get out of my apartment because it is too large for one person to move and it is giving me allergic reactions. The only response I have gotten from AptDeco is that they will contact the seller to ask about the cushions.

Undisclosed delivery fees and unable to cancel order right after placing
Found a discontinued side table from West Elm that matches the rest of my living room set. The cost was listed as $100 - I go to purchase the table and enter my credit card information. AFTER MY CREDIT IS CHARGED I receive a receipt for almost $400. The cost of their white glove delivery was NEVER included in the transaction was $260, along with a whole bunch of additional fees. I wrote the seller and the company exactly 30 seconds after placing my order and they would not cancel the order. This business is a total scam.

Hello,AptDeco helps to facilitate the sale of furniture between buyers and sellers across New York City Because sellers are also New Yorkers who are generally moving from their homes, we cannot return any item to a seller in all cases Instead, we allow the return to seller of items that are not as advertised—meaning that the condition, brand, color, dimensions, or other facts related to an item are misstated by the seller In the rare case that this does happen, a buyer is asked to provide evidence of the discrepancy between a received item and its listed condition That evidence will then be reviewed impartially versus the seller's listing, along with the information and photographs provided by the team that has delivered the item to the buyer.The process for receiving a return and refund is clearly listed on the AptDeco website It's important to follow the process closely As sellers are also our customers, it's essential to treat them fairly and not return a piece of furniture to someone when they have been clear, fair, and honest about its condition.In the case of the item purchased here, the buyer was unable to submit evidence that the items held any difference between their current condition and the condition/brand listed by the seller In addition, these items were physically reviewed in person by the AptDeco team We also spoke with [redacted] ***, who confirmed that most of their wood pieces do not contain a tag or marking that has the name of the brand—addressing the primary basis of this customer's complaint The piece closely matches our experience of the hundreds of [redacted] pieces we have delivered in the past The pieces held only very minor markings and were in strong condition.For these reasons, we determined that the items could not be fairly returned to the seller based on the buyer's change of heart However, we understand the buyer has decided she does not want to keep the pieces she received For this reason, we've offered to store the pieces and resell them on her behalf, so that she can be refunded through the profit of her sale We've also offered to waive any associated storage or commission fee in accordance with that arrangement.We take seriously the process of item inspection and will always allow for a return if a buyer receives an item from a seller who has been misleading regarding any key factor related to that item That was not the case in regards to this purchase For that reason, the item cannot be returned to the seller and the seller has been paid appropriately for her sale Thank you

Hello, This customer disputed the charge with their credit card Though she does qualify for a refund, we've been unable to offer one because of the disputed chargeIf she drops the dispute an immediate refund can been issued Otherwise, we intend to not contest the disputed charge and let it go through, which will take place depending on her bank's processing time.Thank you
