Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because Mr ***' account is quite embellished and highly inaccurate. If he were the fine businessman that he wants others to perceive him to be, then he would have returned the check that was being "held" since we gave him the balance in Cash...of course, it is easy to pretend to be working and explain each delay by blaming a customer for being indecisive and constantly "changing the work order". That however, is NOT the case. Our original order for double-sided mirrored french doors was never fulfilled and all delays were blamed by Mr*** on the Hurricane and then a "cancelled order" by Home Depot. Mr *** received all funding for this project in-full, long before ever coming to our house to do the work. One delay after another was always given with apologies and empty promises by Mr***. We continue to pray for Mr ***' son who has a serious heart condition. We also expressed concern for Mr ***' finger, which he sent a picture of, stating that he had cut it severely at another job site and explained why he had to delay our project again. We can clearly see that we have been taken and we have moved onAll documentation and pictures of this project have already been sent to the proper authorities. We only hope that future customers of Mr *** do not experience the same and we wish no further contact or response to us from Mr ***.
Regards,*** ***

Complaint ID #: ***In the past I have done business with Mr.*** for his home as well as been referred out to acquaintances of hisA couple of days before 7/29/I received contact from Mr*** for a new project that he was wanting to start in his kitchenMr.*** had just
remodeled his kitchen and now has an island that houses his stove top oven and he was wanting a vent placed above it in the island in the center of his kitchenWe made plans to meet up on 7/29/and discuss the scope of work to be done which was the installation of the stove top vent and some plumbing and replacement of rotting wood under the sink, after which I sent the information over to my receptionist to draw up a formal estimate which came out to be $for the vent and plumbing. Being that we had done business and referred me so much to others when Mr.*** proposed that he really didn’t want to abide by my guidelines and sign a contract I was hesitant but I ended up making the mistake of mixing friendship and business. The next day upon more looking into the parts that were going to be necessary to properly complete the job I did message him and spoke to him and apologized for my receptionists lack of knowledge and understanding as to what he was needing done for the job and that it would indeed be an extra $which I went to his place of residence on 8/1/2017, and collected a check for $moreI have the copies of checks as well and can provide them if or when needed. We made a date for my team to come out to do the work unfortunately when going to purchase the proprietary vent needed the one within the budget that the customer wanted to stay within was not going to be available for shipment for weeks and it was not a vent you could just go to a place like lowes or home depot to purchaseHe at that time said to keep shopping around that his family was coming in town and we would reconvene in a weeks time when they left.A week past and I had not heard from him so I reached out and his family was still there and asked for me to wait a bit longerI said “sure no worries” being that we did not have a contract there was no set time frame to complete the projectIn waiting for the next move that he wanted to proceed with the project as my wife's brother drowned in mexico and had to leave to verify and bury himI was left here with our three children one of which has special needs that cannot be left in a circumstance due to medical requirements a person with knowledge of how to care for the sensitive ports or a certified nurse can only be in care of himThe very next week my son had to be hospitalized getting very sick and many scares that we would lose himEven in this time of distress I never lost contact and have all records of communication I would be more than happy to supply from phone records, to messages, to emails. When my son did recover I reached out to see where he wanted to go from that point further unto which he stated that he no longer wanted to do the projectSo I agreed to return the full $being that no labor nor materials were purchased and for the convenience to himI stated that I could mail out a company check as to keep a form of paper trail and the customer turned that down stating he only wanted a cash transactionThat following weekend I made an appointment to come by his place and I brought the $in cash along with a release for saying that I paid him back in fullWhen I presented the document for him to sign saying that I paid him back he refused and we ended up in a pretty heated argument with all of the stresses of the prior weeks and the other jobs that I had in progress that I needed to check in on with my site managers I lost my better judgement once more regretfully and just returned his funds.I would be willing to release any documentation as well as bank statements for the day that I withdrew the $that I have as well as my receptionist was present for multiple conversations and can supply a second alibi on the discrepancy in question

Complaint ID #: ***AQS Renovations Inc, was hired and contracts first revision processed and signed by all parties originally on September 21st to do a wall build down including standard pocket french doors and an additional smaller build down within a interior threshold with a single
standard pocket door on the adjacent walls entrance. The contract was indeed signed and was given $up front, after a first revision was discussed from the original $that the ***s desired to add onto labor and materials, unto which could not be fully processed by the bank due to possible non sufficient funds within the ***s bank accountWhen reached out to the ***s it was discovered that money was not transferred to be able to cover the transaction which Mrs*** stated that she needed to and would transfer funds from one account to the one unto which the payment that AQS receivedAt that point the bank placed a two week hold on the check to verify funds and being that all parties wanted to start the renovations as soon as possible Mrs*** and myself did meet up and I was supplied with the amount of $in cash so that the project could commence and materials purchased. To reiterate the original work order the ***s wanted to inclose there library area to make it a additional downstairs guest bedroom the original order was for just the one wall including a double pocket door, painting (including prep), and debri haul, it also included buying construction materials, necessary labor and site security, and all required tools and machinery needed for job completion of constructionIt is stated that within the contract that AQS is only responsible for furnishing any building improvements related to the construction of the structure, but not related to landscaping, grading, walkways, sewer, or water systems, steps, driveways, patios and aprons, etcunless the are specifically agreed to in writingAQS reserves the right to commence work within days of the original signed date of September 21,and without further complications or revisions would be able to reasonably complete the work by October 21, 2017, as signed and agreed upon by all partiesBut there were numerous Change Orders that had to be made by the request of the ***s in regards to the kind of doors that they wished to be hung and or framedUnto which the contract that was signed states that select named parties may change the scope of the work from time to time during the term of this contractHowever, any such changes or modifications shall only be made in a written “Change Order” which is signed and dated by both partiesSuch Change Orders shall become part of the original contractThe ***s agree to pay any increase in the cost of the construction work as a result of any written, dated and signed Change orderThere have been multiple conversations with myself, my receptionist, and the ***s that I can provide all records of emails/ texts starting from the first week after signing the contract showing the ***s indecisiveness to the styles of doors that they desired to be installed from traditional pocket doors, to mirrored pocket doors, to french doors, to custom made mirrored french pocket doorsDue to constant change of mind, the horrible natural disaster of the hurricanes that swept out and left major distributors out of production it was next to impossible to create a change order that could be agreed upon in full with the ***s so that the job could be completed in its entirety. There was a verbal agreements finally made in the end with questions that we would return to at the end of the project so that production could start during this timeThere was an incident after production started when I had to go to the hospital for fileted one of my fingers open on the *** job site and was required by doctors not to work for a minimum of three days to allow healing and prevent infection but contact was made and updates supplied to all jobs commencing at that time and I did make it back on the third day to continue progressBut as myself and my assistant began and 90% completed the first wall framing, sheetrock, tape and bed, and texturing the lights began to flicker within the house at that time the ***s were contacted and informed of the situation occurring and AQS was instructed by the ***s to cease any and all further progress and was demanded of AQS to supply a master electrician on company's dime to investigate the occurrence furtherAQS obliged for safety concerns and eagerness to complete the job and had a master electrician on site the following dayThe concern was that during the build down of the wall where there was no existing wall prior that a 6” nail that was shot into a brand new framed stud that we had just put in place was going into and grounding a electrical wire within the wall that has no lights on it or even planned to have interior wiring phished down it was causing the electrical problemsWhile the electrician was there the ***s began to breach significant portions of the sheetrock to investigate on their own unto which they were advised not to and in the end was indefinitely confirmed to not be because of AQS remodel that the electrical work was being faulty and the ***s were advised to have Oncore come out to investigate the situationUpon Oncore coming out unto which I myself, *** ***, was present within the house for the meeting it was told that an accident had happened to an electrical box, someone ran into it with their vehicle, and that the ***s were far from the only ones having issues with lights flickeringAfter this information was received by Oncore as to the real reason for the electrical issues I gave them days to patch the holes that the ***s created against the recommendation of my electrician to do to start with less the contract would be dissolved due to unauthorized and unnecessary modifications not performed by a licensed and contracted staff of AQSFurthermore, the ***s did also have to in the end file a dispute with Oncore as well for now there stove and microwave were no longer functioning from the incident Oncore was not able to resolve in a timely enough manner to prevent ruining the appliances. I waited the over a week then reached back out to the ***s to find out the progress of the patches and the ***s refused to have the repairs made insisting that AQS come in and patch, essentially having to redo the entire wall as the damage in question is not a minor fix, for work that was not deconstructed by one of my team, was informed from the start not to make the modifications and ignored any and all advice and professional reasoning so as par the contract and as I had informed them I dissolve responsibility for completion and at that time offered to return part of there money unto which the check was discarded by the ***sI tried to do all I could to satisfy and make their house there dream home but under the inconsistencies, indecisiveness, complications that were beyond control made by an accident, and lack of responsibility taken by the owner for the work that was completed and as par to the contract and terms that all parties signed the contract was extinguished. I am willing to offer the return of 10% back as they agreed upon as well in the contract of the received entire amount. If there is any documentation that you desire I have all in a file receipts, contract, pictures of before, during, and after the damage, scope, messages all with file and it would be a pleasure to forward anything that you need in hopes of a civil resolution
