Review: I brought three dresses and a suit to be dry cleaned. My mother dropped the garments off and was told that it would be ten dollars a dress because of their material. I picked the dresses up and two of the three were destroyed. All of the garmets had a horrible odor. One of the damaged dresses was a blue ruched cocktail dress from Calvin Klein. WEB ID #: [redacted] that I purchased from [redacted] for $189.00 and the other was an XSCAPE Beaded Cold Shoulder Dress that was purchased for $178. I was extremely upset and went into the dry cleaners to see what had happened to my dress. I mentioned to the owner that the dresses seemed to be burned and he began to get very hostile and said that he did not do anything wrong to the dress. I have gone to the dry cleaners a few times and have never seen the same employees at the location and explained that it may be possible that someone else pressed the dress incorrectly. He said all of the dresses are pressed in the same manner. and that for the 15 years he has been in business he did not ruin a dress. I explained that the dresses were in perfect condition and did not have fabric that looked like it was burned or pressed. The Calvin Klein dress is a ruched cocktail dress and has shimmers in the material. In the lower end of the dress the shimmers were gone and it is now much flatter than the rest of the dress. He refused to bring my complaint to the attention of the other employees to see if anyone could explain what had happened and why the damage was not brought to my attention when I picked up the garments. He would not even return the money I spent to have my garments damaged. I had to contact the police and had them come to the store. I feel that a dry cleaners should be more sympathetic after ruining garments and treat their customers with more respect. An employee that was working with owner even had to tell the owner to relax. nDesired Settlement: I feel that the business should pay for the damaged merchandise and refund me for my dry cleaning fee that destroyed the items. The material can not be repaired on the dresses.
