If they are going to call us a liar, then I guess theres nothing I can doI will make sure everybody on social media knows what they did to me to prevent this from happening to anybody elseIt's very sad when companies no longer stand by their products but the saddest part of that fact is that we as consumers have no power to fight backWe were once again ripped off and theres nothing we can do except inform others and never purchase from them again.

The warranty is with the manufacturer and we are not the manufacturer of the filter. We would have certainly helped them with the warranty in the warranty period. As I previously stated the only way sand would blow back into the pool is if operating the handle on the multiport while system is on or the filter was not winterized properly. The equipment is Pentair the leading manufacturer in the industry, that is no matter where you purchase the filter the warranty is still held through Pentair. Lying about the facts does not change the circumstances. We value our customers and will go the extra mile except when we are lied to about the issues. We installed a sand filter for this homeowner on September 30, 2015. The filter worked perfectly. We did not close this homeowners pool. Pool was closed by someone else. Customer contacted us  after one year and told me of the sand blowing into the pool. This is caused by 1 of 2 things. The...

position of the multiport handle was moved during operation or the filter was not drained properly when it was closed for the season. If not drained the water would freeze and break a lateral, the standpipe or hub inside the filter. None of which is a warranty item. We also explained to the home owner the manufactors warranty is 1 year and it had been beyond warranty period. The replacement of the filter, sand , backwash hose plumbing and labor totaled with tax $ 924.17. Not the $2000 she is claiming. This was the first time we did any work for this homeowner and the last was fixing their slide line October 5, 2015. At the time we changed the slide line the filter was working as it should.

We bought the filter, closed the pool (October) and when we opened the pool the following year (May) which was only 7 months later we called about the problem and they immediately refused to fix it or even listen to reason about what was wrong. They did not leave any paperwork or receipt for us to even prove the dispute. They claimed that their technicians NEVER put in a filter incorrectly and NEVER forget to leave paperwork to the homeowners.  Unfortunately, I did not look for paperwork at the time because I was having so much work done to my house at the same time they were supposedly putting my brand new sand filter in.  I probably would've known the correct price of the sand filter if they had left the paperwork as well as the receipt.  I have spoken to several pool companies in the area and they all have said that they would always stand by their product by either providing a warranty, receipt, and if anything went wrong within the year of purchase that they would most definitely at least have somebody look at the problem instead of just assuming the problem as well as the homeowners are just going to go away. My husband works really hard as a Firefighter for our community to buy and repair the things in our home and for him to get ripped off over $900 is inhuman and I will be sure to let everybody know within our community through word of mouth as well as social media that Aqua Fun Pools does not stand behind their products. Regards,
