Review: The company failed to supply correct electrical parts with the hot tub purchased, then would not make good on addional fees incurred by us to pay the electrician to change out electrical box to install the correct one that should have been supplied with tub purchased. They made several excuses as to why they would not make good on the charge to us from the electrician. Also, we have contacted them several times since then, via phone and email regarding warranty issues that need to be corrected. The bar lighting system is not working correctly and they have not addressed the problem. The temperature control was overheating the tub to 105 degrees when it was set on 101, they did make a warranty trip to reset temperature control.Desired Settlement: Need the lighting fixed or replaced.Also would like a refund of the electrical bill amount of $300.00.

I am writing in response to your letter dated 6/**/2013, ID# [redacted].

On 2/*/2013 we met with [redacted] and [redacted] regarding an issue with the subpanel and the delivery of the spa to their residence. [redacted]& [redacted], myself, the service technicians, the employee who sold the spa and the delivery men were all available to address any questions or concerns from the [redacted].

At that time the balance owed to Aqua Jet Pools & Spas was $923.40. This represented an extra charge for delivery and a return service call to install the cover lifter. I have enclosed copies of each invoice which are still unpaid.

When the spa was purchased the customer was given a 220V convertible sub-panel instead of a 220V permanently connected panel. [redacted] claims it cost an extra $300.00 for their electrician to change the panel. We have asked repeatedly for the name of the electrician and a copy of the

$300.00 invoice but they refuse to provide it. I have also spoken to three electricians who wire spas and they all agreed that it should take any licensed electrician less than 30 min to change a subpanel.

In an effort to maintain a good business relationship during our meeting with the [redacted] it was agreed that the [redacted] would deduct the $300.00 from the 2 outstanding invoices owed to Aqua Jet and pay the balance of$623.40. As of today we have not received any payments.

Regarding the temperature control, that was addressed 5/**/13. Our service technician changed the thermistor on the spa. He also explained in detail to [redacted] that there was nothing wrong with the one in the spa! The pumps generate heat when the heater is off. If you set the thermostat for 104 degrees the heater will shut off when that temperature is reached. Although, the pumps in the spa will continue to generate heat. This will continue to make the temperature increase. During the summer months it is best not to set the heater control about 100 degrees. Furthermore, to be absolutely thorough we changed the thermistor from their spa with a brand new one. We sent the thermistor from their spa to the manufacturer. The manufacturer tested the thermistor and found it to be working properly. This issue has been resolved as confirmed by the [redacted] in the letter to you.

There are several lights inside a Hot Springs Spa. One of the lights is not in sync with the other ones when you change the color pattern. This light issue does not prevent the spa from being used by the [redacted]. We ordered a special tool from Hot Springs to diagnose the problem. The tool is here and the service call was performed on 6/**/13. The lights are working as they should. [redacted] was at the home when our technician made the repair.

In conclusion all the concerns by [redacted] and [redacted] have been corrected. We are still waiting on a copy of the bill from the electrician. We are also still waiting on their payment of their past due balance.
