Review: I am attempting to complain about Aqua Nail Bar, located at [redacted] State St., phone number ###-###-####. I visited that location Friday, 6/6/2014 for a basic manicure. I asked for black color with a matte top coat. The top coat never turned matte. I showed the owner, she asked me to wait. I spent nearly two hours in the store, waiting for the polish to dry and turn matte. It never dried, and after close to two hours I decided to go home and wait for it to dry there. I spent more than twice as much time there as I should have. It finally did dry, hours later, but never turned matte, and, large air bubbles appeared, completely ruining the manicure. This was due to the substandard quality of product used. I called the owner the next day and asked for a refund. I was told the customer service manager would call me Monday to refund me. She never did. After multiple attempts to contact the customer service manager, I spoke with the owner, Claudia, again. She informed me that the customer service manager had decided that I will not be issued a refund, but instead offered to re-paint my nails. I declined, as I was displeased with the level of service, quality of product, and amount of time required to perform the service. I maintained that I would prefer the refund, as I was forced to pay before the services were rendered, and after they were, I was displeased. The owner has refused, even implying she has no authority to help. I am more than happy to keep the tip I paid out to the technician with the technician, but I do really insist upon a refund of the service amount, as the services were not rendered properly.Thank you,AshleyDesired Settlement: I would like a refund of the service amount, which was $20.00.
