I have been a customer of aqua for 2+ years. I have struggled with online billing for last 12 months. Customer service has been unable to assist. I fell behind on my bill- not for lack of inability to pay but due to a teenage son who had bill in car. I never received a phone call from Aqua and service was disconnected.
I immediately calked Aqua and made payment in full including the $50 to reconnect. What I didn't know- was Awua doesn't work on the weekend- so yes they will cut you off on a Friday and then leave you without an avenue to reconnect for 48 Hours. I suspect longer if it was a holiday weekend.
The representative I spoke to was rude and not at all empathetic.
The fact that you disconnect people- with no phone call on a Friday knowing you have no ability to turn it on over the weekend is appalling. If I ran my business in that manner- I would have no repeat customers.
So yes- I'm aware it's my fault for not paying on time. That being said to think its ok to leave people without hot water for 48 hours is unacceptable. Quite sure if your family members water was turned off- you'd get it turned on.
I'm alerting my local government and state officials as to how you conduct business.
