Complaint:... [redacted] I am rejecting this response because:In response to Aqua Squad statement, I need to clarify some dates as [redacted] has not properly told the truth. Any plumbing work done on 1 April 2017 was not documented to me. He was contacted through nations Home Warranty. He is a sub contractor to NHW. Since it is impossible for me to verify that he spent 45 minutes on the job I think he has to provide documentation to substantiate his statement. He may have done a service call and charged me the customary fee of $65. I do not have any record of [redacted] coming out in July 2017. He did though, come on on 9 September 2017 to replace the pool filter at a cost of $900 which was not covered under the NHW program. After that installation, I noticed that the waterfall was not working properly and began to service the newly installed pool filter. The top of the filter is secured with an approximately two inch steel band secured with a bolt and latch. Due to the improper installation, I could not remove the band. It was flush with the brick wall. I immediately contact NHW to have [redacted] return and remove the band. He stated that the placement was not going to work because there was not enough space to remove the band. He then stated he would need to order the proper fittings and it would be a few days before he returned. Two weeks past and he finally returned to the job site. He spent some time reconstructing the fittings to the filter. After he left I noticed the pressure was at a proper level but the water fall was not flowing properly. At that time, I decided to keep and eye on the system since cleaning the filters was a labor intensive task.Fast forward to 2 January 2018. My system failed when the weather was below freezing. Prior to that, I could hear the Freeze Guard, which is set at 38 degrees. Some time during the night there was total failure to the pump motor, and any plumbing [redacted] did. I immediately notified him and got no response. It was days later, that he called me and wanted to know what the problem was. I explained to him what had happened and that the pool was shut off. In fact the motor was burned out and one of the PVC junctions had swelled do to the extreme heat. He offered to come out and I told him no. I contacted a reputable company to fix ***'s errors. Always being cautions of a contractor, I showed the joints [redacted] did to two unbiased company's. Immediately they said the installation was improperly done. . That oversight by [redacted] was the determining factor in the failure. I explained to him what the cost were and he stated that was too high. He quoted me $600 to make the repairs. This estimate was done sight unseen. I invited him out to the job site, which was 10 January 2018. I trusted him to inspect the failure without me being on site. As he drove away, the other contractor arrived and called me to make sure the repairs were still on. He observed my pool man departing my house. I told him I didn't have a pool man. It must of been ***. I offered to have [redacted] shoulder part of the expense. His response was "it's off season and he didn't have the money. The total cost was $2280. He balked at that cost and I offered to negotiate the price. I never heard from him again. I then notified him and NHW by certified letter. In the letter, I asked who his liability company was. Without a doubt NHW required him to have a liability policy of one million dollars. I have been in contact with an insurance litigator regarding this matter and it may be he has let the liability policy lapse. Regards, [redacted] ***
