Customer originally contacted me in September 2016 in regards to the application of some cool decking on inspection of the job site there was tile installed in the area that had to be removed and they had large indoor outdoor carpet mats covering area. One of the problems they had was the tile was slick and by placing the mats on it anytime it rained they would hold moisture the tile was removed and the cool decking was installed the color was selected by the people in charge from a color sample chart after it was installed they decided that they didn't like the color because it wasn't exactly what they thought it was going to be so at no extra charge we recolor sealed the area. The customer was specifically told that they cannot leave the big rubber mats on the surface because they would maintain moisture underneath although the product is designed for outdoor it was advised not to leave the mats on and trap moisture underneath them for extended periods of time.
I will not deny that they did contact us to come out and take a look at it and it took us a while to get out there as of the time that they contacted us was in the midst of our busy season and being a small company our Manpower just wasn't enough to get out in a timely fashion. When my man did go out he took some pictures of what was loose. There were a few spots throughout around the edges mainly that had come loose that were approximately the size of a quarter and then there was a couple of them that were maybe two inches long by 1/2 to 1 inch wide which we were going to repair
When I sent my crew out to do the repair the customer had went in before us with a pressure washer and scraper and scraped off most of the entire surface.
So when my guys went out there to repair the small areas the customer had already went in and started work and stripped up a whole bunch of material that we did not deem necessary to remove, and it created a lot more work for us I guess it would be comparative to if you took your car and had it painted and there was a blemish and the paint guy was going to take care of it but you took your grinder and ground half the paint off the car would the paint guy still fix it I doubt
Anyway after sending my guy out there and looking and seeing what they did to the surface we were at that point still willing to come out and fix it but it wasn't anything that we could just rush out and stop everything else we were doing because they had gone through and stripped it all up and made a mess of the project.

Also our warranty clearly states limited paint Crete cote, and finish product warranty.
Paint Crete cote and all other finished products are warranted to be free of defect in materials and workmanship for a period of one year from date of installation finished products are inherently subject to cracking checking discoloration stains and lack of uniformity of color and pattern delamination of the existing material is not warranted these conditions are not considered defective and not covered under warranty staining mold mildew failure due to moisture saturation or incident which the product is not intended for is not warranted. We have documented pictures, if required.

Customer Response

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
Item 1 the first coat (color)did not match what was picked out by the administrator so it was reapplied the correct color. Item 2 we were NOT ever told we could not or should not put any kind of mats on the product until 6 weeks after my first call when someone came out to look at the problem at that point I was informed that we should not have put them down because of the moister problem. Item 3 everyone is busy the fact that I called many times to the office and to mike and did mot even receive a return call even after several times I was told someone would be out is highly unprofessional. Item 4 when the person who came out and took pictures would have removed the matts to see underneath them they would have seen that there was more damage (material coming up)than just the few small areas they took pictures of when I knew they were supposed to be there to do the repairs my assistants and myself removed the loos material and pressure washed the area so it would be a clean surface for the to reapply the new product. Had someone from aqua tech been in touch about anything that was going on or when they showed up to get pictures and informed someone I my team the matts would have been moved and a proper evaluation of the area could have been discussed. There is no way the small areas could have been fixed properly with more of the product loose underneath the matts so like I said no proper evaluation.no communication.5 work days went by after there guys came out to fix it and could not and I did not hear back from anyone about what was going to be done so I contacted Revdex.com again no communication Item 5 from the time I started calling about the problem we were way inside of any one year warranty. Finally, it is an absolute shame that we even have to be going through this kind of situation if there had been some communication from aqua tech from the very beginning this could have been resolved in any number of ways even if we had to pay for material help put it down anything other than what we now have as it stands we are a business with our front doors in disarray this does not reflect good on aqua tech either. Its all about communication.
