We were hired by this customer to perform a septic inspection for the sale of their home. When the customer called to schedule the appointment all of the fees associated with the inspection were explained, including the fact that digging was charged at $per cubic foot and we could not

We found the concrete distribution box to be degraded and in our professional opinion, needed replacement Our technician finished the inspection and left the components exposed so that further service could be done. As per our process, the customer would be contacted the next day to go over the inspection and any recommended repairs. When we arrived at our office the following morning we had received two voicemail messages from the following evening from the customer, one from the wife confused about the digging asking us to call her in the morning. The second call was a threatening message from the husband. We promptly returned the phone calls as was requested by the customer. We did our best to answer their questions and explain our service. We continued to process the inspection report and bids for repairs as we would do with every customer we work with. We had several conversations with the customer throughout the day. As a courtesy, we offered a discount on the digging fees in hoping to find resolution. The total invoice with the digging did come to $1,before tax. The customer refused to pay all of the charges and only paid the inspection fees. They hired another company to come and perform the inspection. The other company concluded the same repairs were needed and they performed the recommended repairs during their inspection. Both reports are available as public record. We are very sorry that the customer was confused about the process and does not feel that we explained things well and that we were not responsive or compassionate to their concerns

The Monday prior to the inspection the Seattle Metro area experienced a snow storm that dropped 8-inches of snow closing our office on Monday and our service down for days The customer was called at 8:on Tuesday morning letting her know that due to the snow we needed to reschedule her inspection for the upcoming Thursday. She confirmed that the upcoming Thursday for inspection was fine. During the inspection process the septic system was located and dug up exposing the top of the septic tank and the distribution box.
