We stand behind our products and serviceOn November 13, the customer picked up a large pizza with pepperoni and buffalo wingsHe called us with his complaint and we offered to remake the order, he declined so we told him to stop in the next day and we would compensate him
On Saturday the 14th of November in the morning the customer came in and we issued a gift certificate for $to more than cover the $of his original bill. At 9:pm that night the customer picked up two sandwiches totaling $24.16. The employee, aware of the complaint but unaware that a gift certificate had already been issued, stated to the customer that we would compensate this meal in exchange for the bad experience the previous dayThe customer agreed to the transaction and failed to present or acknowledge the gift certificate. On November 19th the customer placed another order and at time of payment produced the gift certificateNow aware that a gift certificate had been issued, the employee reminded the customer that he had already been compensated for his dissatisfaction, the customer agreed that he had already been compensated and produced another form of payment and surrendered the gift certificateAt this point both parties were mutually satisfied that the issue had been resolved. On November 20th the customer's girlfriend made an irate phone call stating that the employee had ripped the gift certificate out of her boyfriends hands in front of a full bar and proceeded to tear it up in front of everyoneThis was never the caseThe employee handled himself professionally and returned the gift certificate to me. The girlfriend acknowledged the fact that her boyfriend had already agreed to the compensation on the 14th but insisted that she was still due the gift certificateDuring our discussion it turns out that the wings on the original order were not undercooked, there was an issue with the ranch dressing. Ranch dressing is not in the building long enough to go bad, it is possible that she received blue cheese dressing in errorShe stated that the pepperoni on the pizza was the size of kibble, we purchase whole sticks of inch diameter pepperoni and slice it here. The pepperoni on that pizza was under the cheese instead of on top of the cheese, which is what the customer stated on the 14th when he was issued the gift certificate. On Saturday December 5th the customer came in requesting a gift certificate, a different employee stated they were unaware of any gift certificate and were unable to issue one at that time and advised the customer to call later when a manager or owner would be available. The customer's girlfriend called that evening and Mark explained that we had already resolved the complaint and that if she wished further compensation to file a police reportAfter hearing nothing on the other end of the line, Mark hung up the phoneShortly after the call, the customer's girlfriend posted a derogatory comment on our Facebook page but removed it within hours, before we could respond to it.We feel this may be a personal vendetta with one of our employees. It has been brought to our attention by the employee that this customer and his girlfriend have past personal and current legal issues with close members of his family. The employee feels that the customer is seeking to be overcompensated in retaliation for the current legal issues. Please feel free to contact me with any further questions or concerns.Sincerely,
