Don't get me wrong some of the staff are very good at what they do but others are not Half of the swim lesson instructors seem to have no formal training and most of them don't even have a blueprint to how to teach or what to teach so when there is a sub, which there is a lot it is not the same I know each instructor is different but the lessons are mediocre to say the least I am glad they finally became a USA Swimming team but the coach, Alex does not seem to want to be there all the time, she is always on her phone The other one that does swim team, he is not even certified and it is a clear violation of USA Swimming Rules! The kids love it for the most part but don't expect great resultsAs for martial arts the guy knows what he is doing and does his job extremely well On to the summer camp...from what I experienced last year I will not be taking my kids back They are cooped up in a small room for most of the day, which has little to no AC Sure there is a pool but how long can a group of kids swim without wanting to move onto something elseMost of the counselors if you want to call them that are not licensed and seem to be there more of the socializing than actually being responsible for kids, there are a couple good ones, particularly the guy
The facility definitely needs so TLC in a major way The bathrooms never seem clean and I do not even want to know what is under the floor The pool deck is not any better though The pool has gotten better but there are still huge hairballs, but much better than the cloudy pool I experienced last summer Do not trust everything you are told, do you research Some of the lifeguards are on their phones all the time and I asked one where she took their lifeguarding class and she told me she never took a class...pay attention to your kids at those birthday parties parents
I am all for pools being a relaxed environment but that does not make it acceptable to wear yoga pants and a tank top and proceed to tell people you are in charge and then seem offended when people look at you strange, needless to say the manager is unprofessional When I signed up I was told that the pool would be available to me during all business hours, that quickly changed and the hours kept becoming fewer and fewer They all sell you this seemingly great product that does not exist
My advice is do your research and do not over invest yourself without experiencing it first I admit I still go there from time to time because they are open in the early morning and late at night but if I had another option I would go there, but I will not be taking my children back
