Aquarian Tabernacle Church Reviews (4)

Complaint: ***I am rejecting this response because: Pete the Path Finder or Pete D*** the founder of Aquarian Tabernacle Church formed a WICCA group in the Monroe PrisonI met him in and joined WICCAHe was a great support person throughout the yearsI have visited the ATC or Pete at several places throughout the years and he became very close to us in when me and my wife had a hard time and joined him at the ATC till he passed away a short time agoThe new people seem to be more focused on peoples past history and accusations without investigationNot knowing that the Judge who sentenced me was a lesbian and a man haterThat the police report (that I have a copy of) does not support a conviction Or that I have tried for years to reverse the convictionDue to a time issue, I am unable.
However, my complaint is not of my past, and if it was the churches concern of my past, then the church would not have allowed me to join or become part of many years agoI joined and have been sent several requests to join the ATC for upcomming eventsI have brought my wife and kids to ATC and felt welcomeAfter Pete passed away, I have noticed a differenceMore drug use, more alcohol use my last visit with my wife and children we felt unwelcome and unwantedThough there was no mistreatment of our kids...we chose not to return to that location for a while.
When I received a request to join an education program, sent to my email address, I saw where it was located and chose to participate as it was an educational one in which I thought would be supportive to my involvement in WICCA I paid the tuition and then comes the refund with out explanation If the reason they posted here was the reason, then Pete the Path Finder of the ATC would have made that decision years ago.
I find the decision made is prejudous and unethicle of the churchI have not heard in my years of life that a person is rejected from a religious organization because of a persons past historyI have never heard of any church doing a background check on anyone ever and making a decision on that as well.
I would accept a written apology and both me and my wife *** *** to be enrolled in the education program free of charge and allow our children to be present as wellUnless there is a statement in the advertisement that children are not allowed because of study reasonsThat is understandable.
There are places on the ATC list of churches.....where it clearly says children are allowed and some say are notThe ATC does not indicate children are welcome.
Sincerely,*** ***

The Aquarian Tabernacle Church apologizes and deeply regrets any pain that we may have caused Mr*** by his receipt of a marketing email inviting potential clergy trainees to attend a Seminary class with Woolston-Steen Theological Seminary, a Wiccan Seminary, sponsored by the Aquarian Tabernacle Church. Mr*** does not qualify to be a student in our seminaryIt is stated in our seminary student conduct policy which is posted on our website, and published in our catalog which is filed with the Washington State Board of Higher Education: http://www.wiccanseminary.edu/WSTS/student-conduct-policy.htmlWoolston-Steen Seminary - Student Conduct Policywww.wiccanseminary.eduSTUDENT CONDUCT POLICY Student Status Student status is subject to review at any timeA member of the faculty, staff or student body may request a review by the ...At the end of paragraph 4, all of paragraph and the beginning of paragraph 6, it clearly states the School policy.“Student” means any person who is taking classes or auditing classes at the Seminary or who is matriculated in any Seminary program. Applicants are required to disclose any moral or legal factor that could impede their effectiveness and faithfulness in ministryApplicants and students alike are not eligible for active status while listed in state registries for sexual offenders. The seminary will not grant student status for anyone who must comply with court-ordered probation for felony conviction or must register as a sex offender. Mr*** is a registered sex offenderHe cannot attend classesPlease see Mr*** sex offender listing: http://www.homefacts.com/offender-*** *** *** - Sex Offender or Kidnapper in Graham ...www.homefacts.comView Sex Offender or Kidnapper registry info for *** *** *** in Graham, WA - WA886291.We do not know of Mr*** relationship with our founder, MrD***However, that has no bearing on this issue.MrD*** did approve the school's entrance requirements before his passingThis assumes that if MrD*** knew of Mr***, that he would know that Mr*** could not attendYet this fact is also irrelevant to whether or not Mr*** presents as an acceptable candidate to our clergy training program today, as MrD*** is no longer with us, and no longer able to give us adequate feedback as to his thoughts or desires in this issue.Children and the participation of children in any ATC churches has no bearing on this issue. Women are respected members of our matrifocal communityMr*** reference to the female judge as a "lesbian and man-hater" as to the reason why his criminal conviction should not be taken seriously, is inflammatory and disrespectful, and an example of how his character is unacceptable for our clergy training program. The charge that this decision is prejudicial and unethical are opinions that are not shared by the Regents of the College, nor the constitution of the United States, which grants churches the rights to make determinations based on the moral and ethical conduct of it's potential spiritual leadersIt has been determined by the tenants of our faith that allowing sex offenders to become spiritual leaders is immoral and unethicalAs a religious school we are within our rights to determine if the character of a potential student is appropriate for church involvementParagraph one of the student conduct policy states: Student status is subject to review at any timeA member of the faculty, staff or student body may request a review by the Dean’s Office if a student demonstrates the inability to live in harmony within the community, or if characteristics presumed present for admission are lacking, such as moral character, relational skills, potential for effective ministry, and appropriate church involvementThe standards for student status always apply, and are not mitigated by calendar interruptions, geographic location or cultural and religious normsInstitutional policies for conduct and conscience are non-negotiable and always applicable during the tenure of enrollment The behavior of church members as Mr*** has described them is inflammatory, meant to defame, and has no bearing on this issue.ATC and it's subsidiaries perform mandatory background checks, for any volunteer who may be working with childrenHowever, that has no bearing on this issue. While we have compassion for Mr*** plight and understand his desires to join what he considers an education program, we would be derelict in our duty to protect, and violating the trust of our congregation if we allowed Mr*** to participate in seminary trainingWe cannot betray the ethical considerations of our religious order, nor break established polity to comply with Mr*** wishesHe may not attend class Sincerely,The RtRevBelladonna L***Archpriestess, Aquarian Tabernacle ChurchDean, Woolston-Steen Theological Seminary

The Aquarian Tabernacle Church is family and child friendly, and does sponsor the Religious Seminary, Woolston-Steen Theological Seminary, which is the organization producing the course to which Mr. [redacted] desires admittance. refunded his money upon submitting his application. Mr. [redacted] is not welcome to attend because he is a registered sex offender. [redacted]Respectfully,The Rt. Rev. Belladonna L[redacted]Archpriestess, Aquarian Tabernacle ChurchDean, Woolston-Steen Theological Seminary

Complaint: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because:
Pete D[redacted] is the founder of Aquarian Tabernacle Church. Pete joined me and hundreds of others in the Twin Rivers Correctional Center in which he brought forth the knowledge of his church. He joined us several times a month. Learned of our problems and not one violated any rule of the church. There are 13 rules and the one mentioned by the respondent is not listed. The education rules are also brought up and the respondents mentioned is not listed in the rules of which Pete D[redacted] made and created and showed me in the 1990s. The new addition must have been added during this disagreement.
The respondent again brings up something that does not pertain to the advertisement sent to me via email. I responded and paid the tuition. There was no rule indicated in the advertisement as to who could and could not participate. This is not a State or University education program. It is a education program designed by Pete D[redacted] the founder of ATC. Again, if Pete D[redacted], the founder of the ATC had the mentioned rule, he would have told everyone about it when the ATC joined the prisoners at Twin Rivers Correction Center.
My just wife mentioned that she no longer wanted to go the ATC because the last time we participated Dusty D[redacted] groped her in the library,  and that is why she asked to leave when we did.
The class has started on August 19th, 2016 and is passed the entry date.  Both my wife and I feel that this Dusty D[redacted], the High Priest of ATC is bias and prejudice against us because we are a family with kids. The High Priestess Belladonna has never showed negativity towards us till Dusty and I had our disagreement and that occurred after our last meeting at the ATC. If he wants to bring up a 24 year old passed issue that has nothing to do with the church or anything else. It shows bias and prejudice against all people who have been arrested and convicted of something or another. I still think it may be the guilt he has within himself of groping my wife when he had the chance.
At this point the class is a moot issue because it has already started. All I asked, was to join, participate in the few meetings and be done with it holding another worth gift from Pete D[redacted], the founder of the ATC. In this Dusty could have confronted me with his problems and we could have worked it out as men.
Sincerely,[redacted]
