I am rejecting this response because:i paid for a service which was not done properly and in the process killed pretty much all the fishes in my tank Until I get refund for the service and compensation for the dead fish I will not consider this closed

Again, I'm sorry he feels that way. I am not, however, responsible for his dead fish. I did not cause them to die and don't feel I owe any compensation. I had cleaned the tank twice before and the fish had come through just fine. I did nothing different in my methods this time. The matter as far as I am concerned is closed now. Goodbye.

I DID vacuum the gravel. This tank suffered from numerous problems, one of which was severe overfeeding. The second problem was that the customer did not refill the tank with water in between my comings and goings every month and much of the water was lost to evaporation. As a...
result, half of the tank was always empty and the filter was running sluggishly. I explained both these issues to him previously. My standard water change and gravel vacuuming involves removing 20-25% of the water each time I come. With half of the water already gone due to evaporation, this brought the water down to the point where it was only 25% full. I explained to the customer that there was no way to completely remove all the uneaten food from the tank without completely draining the tank. I offered to come back and perform this service for him. He refused and then thanked me for my previous service and indicated he would take it from here. He made no mention of the heater. I did not forget to plug in the heater and have no idea where that is coming from. That wouldn't kill the fish anyway since the tank was inside the living room with only the back exposed to the garage and that would largely keep it at room temperature. I am actually a little surprised to receive this report since I offered further help and he refused.
