Aquienta Pools Reviews (4)

When my husband and I decided we were done suffering through these hot AZ summers with no pool of our own, it was time to search for our perfect pool builder. I spent about two weeks straight compiling companies from friends, acquaintances, and through online research. I had an extensive list of over 20 builders and began the arduous process of sifting through their websites, looking up their reviews, seeing photos of their pools, checking the [redacted], finding out how long they have been in business and checking their ratings on the Revdex.com. As we required our pool builder to be registered through [redacted], be in good standing with the Revdex.com, as well as have great reviews and good looking pools, our list was quickly narrowed down to a field of 5. From these, Derek from Aquienta impressed us from the second we made initial contact.

From the beginning, Aquienta was on top of their communication with us. When I called to schedule our first visit, the receptionist was kind and prompt in our request. When it was time for our appointment, Derek was on time (others were not!!) and professional. The first thing that we discussed was budget. Surprisingly, he was the only builder who asked us this important question! For him to know what our budget straight out of the gate allowed hi mot guide is in making choices about the type and finish of pool we were looking for. He was very organized and had a questionnaire, where he went over every detail of the pool, so he was able to give us an accurate estimate. He asked us questions, gave us advice when we had no clue what to do or pick (as first time pool owners/builders) and went out back to measure our yard. After this, we scheduled a meeting for about 7-10 days out to go over the quote. In the meantime, Derek set a handwritten thank you note, which we thought was a great touch. During this time, we also met with the four other builders on our list. I have to tell you that my husband and I have very high expectations and truly expect great customer service. This is where Derek and his team really won our business. He was the most professional, easiest to communicate with, had competitive pricing, great attention to detail and a promise of excellent customer service - all of this was just what we expected.

When we went down to Aquienta to see our bid/pool rendering, we were again impressed with their attention to the little details, making us feel like their only customer. In fact, we were probably one of his smaller projects and he still treated us like we were his only and favorite customer! Derek took all of our wants and needs and put them into a pool design that was exactly our vision! He, Georgia, Kelsey and Kara were all VERY patient with us as we tweaked the design, and then tweaked the finish, then did it again and again and yet again…. :) Again, it all goes back to that fantastic customer service that they not only talk about but actually deliver!!!! Few companies have the customer service thing down, but Aquienta truly does. Throughout the entire process, there were phone calls, emails, questions and revisions on our part. Aquienta answered all of those with a quick and friendly response! As for our pool itself, it turned out exactly as planned and on budget (which we kept bumping up -there are so many cool features these days!). It was delayed a few weeks, but we built during the winter season and had an unusually rainy year. Mother Nature cannot be rushed, as we all know! Other than that, their trades were on time, did a great job cleaning up after themselves, were respectful of our space and yard. The few minor issues we had were promptly handled by the Aquienta team.

When our pool was finished, Brian came out to give us our orientation and show us the ropes. While we are still learning how to properly care and maintain our pool, we are finally looking forward to a hot AZ summer so we can jump in and enjoy our beautiful new oasis that is now our backyard!!!

In conclusion, I highly recommend Derek and his team at Aquienta Pools. He's a consummate professional and you will not be disappointed in his team and their excellent customer service. We would recommend them hands down and in fact we have. One neighbor built a pool with them and finished just 6 weeks after us and another neighbor had them work on some of their landscaping right after our build was complete. We wish Derek and his team only the best and would not hesitate to use them on another project!

Warmest Regards,

Review: We purchased a backyard project with Aquienta back in November 2012. Part of the project was a water feature which Aquienta contracted through a company called Rock Works. We have had nothing but defects (water leaks, cracks, etc) since the beginning. Both companies have been out numerous times trying to address the issue. At first they said there were no leaks and eventually admitted the structure was not properly sealed during construction. After much back and forth they finally said everything should be fixed and should be good as new. A few weeks later we are still having the same issues. We are concerned about the longevity of this purchase since it appears they are just patching it up and not really solving the issue. The owner even admitted that it is costing him money every time they need to come out. To me they are more concerned about that then they are about their customers and the quality of their work. I have asked the owner for a refund and I have not received a response.

Business

Response:

Aquienta is working diligently to resolve this warranty repair with our valued customer as quickly as possible.

[A default letter is provided here which indicates your acceptance of the business's response. If you wish, you may update it before sending it.]

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me. I will wait until for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved.

Warmest Regards,

This is a letter of recommendation for Aquienta Pools and Landscaping. Our project was a complete renovation of pool interior including new pebble sheen and perimeter tile. In addition, we had a 50 sq. ft. water feature installed as well.

How was Aquienta selected? They were among four other bidders, all of whom had to pass two tests: 1) Receive and A+ rating by the Arizona Revdex.com and, 2) have a “clean” record with the Arizona Registrar of Contractors.

Once selected, three key players immediately got involved. Mike Yates, Operations Manager, met frequently to go over details, answer questions, and set up a preliminary time line for the project. [redacted], Project Manager, was my ongoing contact and support throughout the entire project. Overseeing the entire renovation was [redacted], President, and General Manager. All three individuals, and those they had assigned to my pool renovation, were exemplary in terms of “customer service.”

As a question or an issue might arise, Aquienta was quick to meet and talk with me regarding what was the “next best step” in moving forward on the project and maximizing strong customer service and customer support. As we moved through the renovation, [redacted] was gracious enough to keep me constantly informed of what was going on and why, as well as sending me updates due to any changes in the time schedule, due to weather, holidays, or subcontractor availability.

My experience with Aquienta was a very good one. One of the reasons is the leadership. It’s a well run organization with a clear vision on how to optimize customer service. Everyone on the Aquienta Team knows what’s expected of them in terms of customer satisfaction. A memorable case in point; after completing the building of the 2 ½ water supply line to the water feature, Aquienta painted the white PVC piping to match the color of the stucco of my house (who does that!). As I watched the laborer putting on the finishing touches, he was meticulously wiping a small amount of “overspray” that had gotten onto the adjoining pipe. I mentioned, as the owner, that it was OK, he didn’t have to spend that much time on it . . . . his comment to me was, “no, that wouldn’t be the Aquienta Way!”

The bottom line is most customers are looking for the best value for their investment. What’s desired is a reputable company who fully understands what “customer service” truly means. In so doing, they offer a quality product for that investment. I recommend that anyone considering a pool project of any kind, give consideration to Aquienta Pools & Landscaping. I’ve already recommended them to others. Why would I do that? Because, if you want it done right, at a fair price . . . . it’s the “Aquienta Way.”
