I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

The response of [redacted] consists of a number of untrue statements that I would like to respond to as follows:
1 -  “At no time I had dealt with this woman named in the letter” – This is not true. I am the [redacted] of [redacted]'s business and [redacted] asked me to get involved to try to find a solution. I had a conversation with [redacted] over the phone where he behaved very disrespectful and aggressive towards me. I can provide evidence of this conversation from my cell phone statement). During this conversation, I tried to explain that we are not happy with [redacted]’s work and would like to get a refund. The conversation did not lead us to any solution.
After that call, both my fiancé and I tried to reach out to [redacted] repeatedly in order to pick up a receipt for the $400 cash that he took from [redacted], as well as to pick up the leather leftovers. We even stopped by his work place several times, where I left a message for him with his neighbor with a request to call me back. [redacted] never contacted me after our initial phone conversation.
2 – “As a matter of fact, it wasn't even leather but some old, used leather imitation. It's not possible for them to know if the material was enough for four chairs, since they have no idea of how much material a seat would take." – This is also not true. It was not an imitation, it was a normal piece of leather. [redacted]'s friend from the barber shop who had recommended [redacted] can also confirm the quality of the leather and the amount. Additionally, [redacted] does have some idea about how much material a seat should take.
3 – “It's not true that the seats were wet when he picked them up” – Also untrue as the seats were indeed wet. I have seen the result and it looks like the seats were always outside in the elements. The results of the job were very poor.
4 – “I have many witnesses for that” – Again, not true. [redacted] can confirm that only [redacted] was there and that [redacted] handed him back his chairs and than just slammed the door in his face.
5 – “Not only he wouldn't listen as he couldn't speak English or Spanish” – [redacted] speaks English but it is not his native tongue. Regardless, both my fiance and I speak fluent English and also a bit of Spanish, but [redacted] never returned any of our calls. (see response #1 above).
6 – “After the job was completed,all that I had was left over pieces,which I tried to give back to him,but he didn't accepted.” - I visited [redacted]’s place twice (once with my fiance and once alone) in order to pick up the leftover leather as well as the receipt. He is never available and he does not return calls, however. It is simply impossible to get a hold of him.
7 – “So I have no idea who this woman is and why she's lying so much about me since we never met.” – We met over the phone but never in person because [redacted] is hiding from me. He is lying that he has no idea who I am.
8 – “The whole job was done completely correct and I feel like I'm the one who deserves an apology” – The job was done poorly. We feel that a fair resolution would be to refund us the $400 and we can all move on from this situation.

I have no idea of who she is or how she looks like.
I was recommended to the man that I don't even know his name by a friend from the
barber shop.
The man,not a woman,came to me with the seats and the leather(used,old leather from and old sofa)
as it was mentioned in their letter.As a matter of fact,it wasn't even leather but some old,used leather
imitation.It's not possible for them to know if the material was enough for four chairs,since they have no
idea of how much material a seat would take.
It's not true that the seats were wet when he picked them up.They did get wet after the man threw them
as well as the leftover pieces in the snow in a very disrespectful way.If necessary I have many witnesses
for that.He was very aggressive and insulting,while I was trying to explain everything to him.Not only he
wouldn't listen as he couldn't speak English or Spanish.
The job was ordered to be done in the same way as the old ones,which I still have with me.I can also provide
pictures of it.The seats have to be done in parts,panels and not one single piece,in order to fit.
I had no use for that old,used leather imitation,but their seats.After the job was completed,all that I had was
left over pieces,which I tried to give back to him,but he didn't accepted.
The man that came to pick up the seats was the same one and the only person I met from the time we set the whole
deal till now.So I have no idea who this woman is and why she's lying so much about me since we never met.
Besides the covers ordered, which was the only thing to be done,I made some pockets,fixed the broken frames
and platform for the seats and backs which were all broken,without any extra charge.
The whole job was done completely correct and I feel like I'm the one who deserves an apology,since he was the
one insulting me and now accusing me of robbing him.

Review: The job that we paid for was not done in the way we ordered. It was damaged and made from a different material. We got robed.-We ordered two leather chairs for the truck from [redacted].-We provided [redacted] with the cash of 400$ and a good quality of leather material (the leather was previously on our sofa and the amount of leather was good enough for 4 chairs, not for only 2).-The cash payment (100$) from us was requested right away by [redacted] and we agreed. We did not see any issues with that.-When we came to pick up the chairs, they were wet for some reasons and we could not see the final result clearly. So, we just paid the rest of the money and put the chairs in the car to dry out.-When the chairs dried, we saw that the result was not what we ordered. Instead of the one peace of leather on the chairs as we ordered, our chairs was made out of many leather peaces (clearly leftovers from our leather material or even some other leather). -The dry chairs look ugly, stitches all across, it look horrible, and it is impossible to sit on them. So, we can't really use them at all.-The whole situation led me to the thoughts that [redacted] was using our leather material for something else and made our order from whatever had left from our leather.-I asked [redacted] to redo the order, he refused.-I asked [redacted] for refund, he refused as well. He was very insulting while conversation, would not let me to finish the sentence and always raising his voice. As a woman I felt threatened. He did not treat me as a customer with the respect at all.-I also asked [redacted] for the material back, he would only provide us with some leftovers ( this is not what we gave him). He stole our material. He also did not provide us with any receipt for his job.Desired Settlement: We would like to get our money (400$) back. I also would like to hear an apology for [redacted]'s inappropriate behavior. He should be more respectful with customers and especially women and try to solve the issue without raisin the voice and insulting people. Thanks.
