I am rejecting this response because: As it clearly states on his invoice he was to repair the roof at the chimney. The roof is still leaking at the chimney. He put a patch on one side of the chimney and neglected the other areas around the chimney. The water stains are exactly where they were when he attempted to repair the roof at the chimney. He NEVER said we should replace the roof. My wife and I know he did not say that.I called him on 5-23-and again on 5-26-2016. He said he was busy working in Dallas and it would be two to three weeks. I called him on June 20th with no response. His workers came on July 6th and said it was not their problem. I filed this report with you soon after July 6th and he did not respond. When my wife called him again he called her a *** *** and hung up the phone. I have never left him any sort of rude message.I feel he is reneging on his "year warranty) clearly written on the invoice that says "Roof Repair at chimney"At this point I would be happy just to get my money back so I can hire someone to finish this job

bad condition. They did not want to spend the money required to take care of the roof, so I agreed to repair the one area that was the source of a leak. That area was at the rear of the chimney. I also removed the air conditioner vent covers inside the house, cleaned and painted them and removed most of the mold on their ceiling. I reinstalled the a/c vent covers. I strongly advised them to have their roof replaced as I knew that it was in terrible shape. Note on the invoice that the date of repair was November 24, 2015. [redacted] left me several voicemails in late May of 2016, this year. I went by their house in Rockport several days later and they were not home. I climbed up on the roof to look at the repair that we had done and it was in perfect condition. There were so many rough spots on their roof when I performed the repair, that it could be leaking anywhere. The Memorial Day holiday was a few days later and our family was out of town. I neglected to get in contact with the Houghtons prior to leaving town to let them know that my repair was in great shape and that they had a problem elsewhere. She left me several rude voicemails after that. I did send a crew by there again to talk to them on July 5th. This was the same person that performed the repair and he was very familiar with the location. He tried to explain to them that our repair was not leaking. These folks are elderly, in their 80's, and simply would not understand that they need to replace the roof. I cannot warranty the entire roof, only the single repair that I made. I can only repair the area that I previously worked on. Their desired settlement of this dispute is that I fix the roof that I was hired to repair. The only fix for their roof is to remove and replace the entire roof. The area that I repaired has not been responsible for any new leaks. Therefore, I am not able to do additional work at no charge. Aransas Roofing and Construction2301 Kirby RoadAransas Pass, TX 78336[redacted]
