I have reviewed the response offer made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below
At no point did we accept the finished product of the floorsWe paid the remaining balance before we even had a chance to look the floors overJennifer arrived at the house the same time we did and asked for the checkWe did state we liked the color of the floors but the roughness and unfinished corners and sander marks were unacceptableMy husband specifically showed Rodney these areas, not just the roughness, and Rodney assured him that it would be fixedThese areas are not fixed and significant gouge marks remain through out the floors from the sanderWe addressed these complaints with the Pearson's even before deciding to sale the home and all these have been our complaints not a realtorsHowever, the floors are inhibiting us from selling the house due to the poor quality of work that was performedWe would like to resolve the issue with a refund of our moneyWe do have to pay another contractor to come in and fix the floor which were damaged worse from the work the Pearson's did with the uneven sanding and gougingThey also have to go under the counter, doors and in the corners where the floor was clearly not done, as seen in the pictures I submittedI have several other pictures of the scratches and gouges and other missed areas that I can submit on further review.

There was no contract for "helping" with the additionI have included the contract stating I would provide materials and labor would be provided by Pearson'sThere were many days that nobody would show, even though there was no rain and there was inside workThe last day of work they just left with no word and after I kept being told he would come back and never didYes, the deck was started, but that was even after siding was put upThe main wiring problems was wires hanging from around smoke detector which was not hooked to anythingPearson's crew had already put sheetrock on the ceiling at this time so we couldn't even trace the wiresWe paid to have the framing and outside completed and still did not have that done. We went it and looked over the floors with the homeowner prior to the job and told them the floors were in ruff shape from the beginning and that they will not look perfect but would have a new clear coat finishThe homeowner said they understood they would not be perfect and understood that the
floors were in ruff shapeAfter we sanded the floors and put the poly on the way it was suposed to be and the home owners returned home we went through the house and I showed them the bad places in the floor that has happened over the years like the scratches in the hardwood which are not from the sander but wear and tear from use and the imperfections in the wood also from nothing we didWe did exactly as the manufacturer states on the sanding and the recoatingWhen the homeowner seen the floors they loved them and said they looked great! They contacted us and said his wifes mop hung on a few places if we could buff it and fix them we didWe came back in spending our own time and money renting two sanders and buying more poly and redo those spots we put a whole other coat onthe whole floors not just the spotsAgain the homeowner loved it said it looked greatThey decided to sell their home and move so now the realtor and buyer are nit picking everythingThey said they loved the finished job and paid for the floors when finished after they looked at themWe did what the homeowner wanted and they were satisfied we dont work for the realtor or the buyer we work for the homeowner who again was satisfied with the finished productWe worked very hard and very long hours to make their floors the bestWe stated up front they would not be perfect

I have spoken with the home owner and we have came to an agreementIf it is ok with you all then I will go ahead with the agreement and make agrangements with him

I met with mr and mrs *** at 9:on june 28thI did not come in and ask for a check first thing I asked was what do yall think? We walked through the house I showed them the scratches that already existed in the floor and showed them the closet she said was not touched and told them it had already been replaced so we sanded it and put a fresh coat on itI did not leave the house until 9:so if there was such poor qualitly with the work why was I not notified that same day since they were there and not days later???? We did the job the way it was suposedto be done and the homeowners stated not once but twice that it looked greatthat they appreciated all the workI have the emailThat states the realtors suggestion is for the seller to resand and apply another coat of poly evenly and that was what we did the second time but that was because she said her mop was snagging I found out afterwards it was the realtors suggestionSo I do not feel that anythi g is owed if the seller dont like them then they can either pay to get them done or dont buyThe job was done rightJust because the realtor and the new buyer doesnt like the floors does not concern the work we did because the original homeowners liked themThey had from 9:until the end of tuesday to contact me about the floors instead they waited daysNothing was an issue until they decided to sell

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me. I will wait for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved

I thought about this a little more and$is too muchThe footer got done the block got layed all the framing is up all the siding is up ( which again was suposed to be vinyl so no painting required) the roof got done the soffitt got done ex cept for pieces because he didnt have it all insulation inside and in attic got done all the electrical wires and boxes got installed just not hooked up because he covered up the walls and paintedThe only thing that didnt get completly completed was the stuccoHe said he was doing the inside completion himself he didnt want us to do itSo for the cost of materials to do stucco and doing the stucco $is more sufficientAll other work was completed

*** *** pulled permits as the home owner and doing the job himselfHe ran into time issue with him working as well and asked us if we could assist him in helping We discussed with him about helping him with the job and if he had questions when we wernt helping him he coufAs far as
the electrical we helped him with he went in and covered the walls with sheetrock before we could even get there to help himHe rushed everything and even built his deck on before the outside block was to be doneI dont know what the problem is since he was doing the job himself and we took our time to assist himIf anything else is needed just let me knowThanks

I will just pay the $1200 because im not going to sit here and argue over he said she said or what was said in between. But im not paying to compensate electrical because he covered up half the walls and painted before it was even done. The only way to deal with these type of people is to settle so ill pay the $1200 just need to know if I pay him or pay yall and yall give it to him.

I still feel that we did what we were to do and nothing was wrong with the floors. My lawyer said we will see you in court if thats what you feel is necessary.
