Written estimate says company would remove tree, remove debris, clean up and grind stump 6-8 inches below the surface. Stump not grinded as promised.I received written estimate [redacted] dated 10/02/15 for tree removal, clean-up and stump grinding. I contacted company, agreed with estimate and set-up work date for 08/13/15. Crew came that date and removed tree. I was told by crane operator that the stump-grinder was backed-up a couple of days and would contact me in the next couple of days. He asked that the check be made out to an indidual rather than the company name. I paid the full amount in good faith that I would soon be recontacted to set-up a date for stump grinding. When I did not hear back from them I called the company at XXX-XXX-XXXX on 10/19/2015. I had to leave a message as their answering machine said no one was available. When I did not hear back from that call I sent an e:mail to the owner [redacted]@arbormaxtree.com. I have not received any reply from Arbormax : no follow-up from the stump-grinder, no follow-up to my telephone message, and no follow-up to my e:mail to the owner of the company to whom his worker had me make the check payable to. I paid the full amount as outlined in the estimate but have not received all of the services as outlined in the estimate.Desired SettlementI want Arbormax to complete the stump grinding 6-8 inches below the surface as promised.Final Consumer Response /[redacted]/I was contacted by the business owner the same day I received your notice. The stump was ground down this morning and I am completely satisfied with the final results. I am therefore officially cancelling my complaint. I sincerely appreciate your intervention on my behalf. I hired arbormax to remove trees oted $500 and paid a check. The trees were removed but the stumps have not been grindedI paid arbormax $500 to remove trees and grind stumps. The job was planned for May 12. I was told the stump grinding would be done the next day, may 13. They never returned. I have called and left numerous voicemails. My calls have not been returned. I have tried both numbers for this business. We received the complaint after the stumps were completed. We spoke with the customer and assured him he was on the list to be taken care of 4 times through out the 13 day process. The initial issue was the stump grinder was broke down and had to be repaired the parts were on order. Once up and going we made a visit but the ground was to wet to enter the yard. We then had a three day holiday weekend. We are very sorry for the delay in the stump grinding process especially since they are repeat customers. We liked them so much that we did the job for them at a third of our normal rate which was actually below our cost. We truly regret that we had issues with the grinder, rain and the holiday that caused the delay in the stump grinding process. At no time did we ever think of skipping out on doing the job. Weve been in great standings with the Revdex.com for a long time and have never had a complaint of this nature I sincerely hope that this does not effect our ranking or accredidation status.
