ARC Grounds Division Reviews (1)

Review: I obtained the service of ARC Ground Division from the website [redacted] in October 2012. I used their services from October 2012 to the spring of 2014. In the spring of 2014 I contacted [redacted] who has been handling all of services and transactions. Services where agreed upon to open up our home and provide spring cleanup and lawn service for the summer. After numerous responses back and forth I was assured the home would be open in [redacted]e for use on May 18th. Prepayment for these services was made by check, when the service of the opening of the home wasn't completed as promised on the 17th, my family stepped in and opened the home on the morning of the 18th in [redacted]e for folks who were to show up on the 18th to use the place.During the opening of the home there were issues due to improperly winterizing the home, some flooding and damage. After talking with [redacted] I agreed to continue the spring yard cleanup and summer yard maintenance, along with cleaning the gutters. [redacted] assured me he would tear up the prepayment check of $838.95 and I could apply overpayment of funds to remove our dock last fall. [redacted] went back on his word to tear up the check I sent and cashed it. Since then during the spring and summer there were numerous attempts to contact [redacted] through phone call and emails without any responses.I am enclosing the email I sent to [redacted] with the [redacted] and circumstances. I do not fell that he has not made any attempt to resolve this issue and has done business in a very unprofessional way. And by not returning the funds paid for services not provided is not a very trustful individual. Thank you, [redacted]From: [redacted], [redacted] Sent: Friday, September 19, 2014 8:45 AMTo: '[redacted]'Subject: October 20, 2012 - Lawn and Garden Sprinkler System - Winterize or ActivateGood Morning [redacted],I just wanted to let you know that I used your service back in October 2012, Lawn and Garden Sprinkler System - Winterize or Activate. The company and person who answered my request was ARK Grounds Division LIC, [redacted]. We needed his services for our summer cottage located close to Sandpoint Idaho, while we live back east in New Jersey. This is a little lengthy but I wanted to provide a [redacted]e line and what happened to cause me to contact you and let me tell my story. The first [redacted]e we used ARK it took a while to coordinate ARK with my family (out west) to be able to get keys so he could winterize our cottage. Because I was new to using a service from so far away I had asked my brother to meet him there and help with clearing out food etc. while [redacted] did the winterization, my brother felt he did a good job. In return we used his services again to reopen the cottage in the spring. Not a great job, but a fine enough job. That fall we had him winterize the cottage again, this [redacted]e it took numerous contacts to have the job completed, mostly due to a removal of a dock up onto the shore. At the end of these services ARK had owed me around $200.00 overpayment from funds I had sent him for hiring additional help with the dock. It was agreed we would use these funds towards the next springs opening of the cottage.Late winter I were called by [redacted] of [redacted] of Sagle, Idaho who had provided our new dock that last summer with concerns because when he drove by our place he had seen the dock was pulled from the water and positioned with the middle of the dock on a mound of rocks and dirt, the dock had about 6 feet of snow on it, bending it at both ends. [redacted] remove the snow and move the dock to level ground and he offered to reinstall the dock in the spring due to the incident, we decided that ARK wasnt equipped for the removal of our dock, but would be fine for the opening of the cottage in spring .Now my concern- that spring we had asked [redacted] to open the cottage and in addition do yard cleanup and lawn service for the summer. He invoiced me for the services and reminded me he owed me the additional funds from the dock services. He was to complete the yard cleanup and opening of the cabin that week, when it did not happen I called him and he assured me he would be doing it that following Saturday and I had reminded him we had family coming to use the cabin that Sunday, he had ask if I could go ahead and pay the invoice for the coming summer services. I sent him a check.[redacted] was a no show that Saturday, so my family ended up opening the cottage. When he opened the cottage they discovered he had forgotten to leave the heat on at 55 degrees so that our wooded floor would not buckle, this we had agreed on in writing the prior year for I had read about this when I researched winterizing homes. This cause me to have buckled floors in my bedroom, along with a frozen water line to the fridge (the ice line) along with frozen water line in my coffee pot. So when the water was turned on it caused flooding in the basement. This took a plumber to have to come in track the water problem to the fridge and fix it , but in order to find the source he had to cut a hole in the downstairs ceiling, so then I had to ask my brother who is a contractor to repair it.Here is my issue- when I called [redacted] that following Monday he was very apologetic, promised to tear up the check I had sent, wanted to do what he could do to fix what he could and agreed to come out and do the spring cleanup and use the money I had overpaid him toward it. Needless to say, he never showed up, cashed my check of $838.95 and would no longer return my emails or my and my husbands phone calls. The reason for this long email is I am hoping you will discontinue listing his services so no one else has to have this happen to them. Thank you, [redacted] On Sun, May 18, 2014 at 12:39 PM, [redacted] wrote:Hello, I will destroy the check when it arrives. I do still want to do the gutters.
