Honest Car Dealer!!!!
I recently Bought a Vehicle from ARC Motors. Jewel Chowdhury is the CEO, and handles business personally with you. Very professional and a very Honest Man. If you are looking for a new used vehicle please check out ARC Motors. They let you know everything about their vehicles before you purchase. Hard to find honest people selling cars these days. I will be back again in the future for another vehicle from them. If you need a real recommendation feel free to call me Darren Freeman Www.FreemanSecurityServices.Com

1. Purchased Volvo, leaked oil w/in 2 days. Sent me to their repair shop. Car was no good. They picked it up . 7/2019
2. Three weeks later (8/2019) They transferred all information and down payment to a Nissan Altima. It drove bad immediately and ran hot. Was sent to their repair again. 3. I was charged a restock fee, and temporary tag fees for Two cars and other miscellaneous fees.
4. This resulted in them only returning 1000 of my money and keeping 900.

Desired Outcome

Bought VW Beetle on *** based on pictures and description Dealer lied about condition of vehicle. Had to put $1,500 in right away, needs $3,000 yet.
I bought a 1998 VW Beetle on *** from Mohammed R of ARC motors. The description of the Beetle is attached, but read: "Another beautiful car with low mileage ice cold ac recently serviced very reliable car with very low price you can depend . No issue issue on the car . Engine transmission good . We only sell low price and reliable car . All Car Sold as is no warranty. I also told Mohammed we were planning to drive it from Orlando to Minnesota and he told me we'd have no problems.

I paid him the $1,700 we agreed on by wiring the cash to his bank account.

We flew to Orlando on Wednesday, April 4th and went immediately to the lot. The car was in very rough shape. had a flat tire. had to be jumped to start. The inside was in very poor shape, I didn't see photos of the doors, but both doors were all broken up on the inside. It looked like there was no gas in the car, we asked if they could put some in and Mohammed first said he could. Then when we asked again, he said it had a full tank, the gas gauge didn't work. Even though we told him we'd be there on Wednesday, the car had a flat and wouldn't start, as well as being stuck behind other cars.

We had a pump in the truck we brought, so we filled the flat tire. We drove off the lot and realized the AC did not work as promised and the transmission was slipping. we pulled into the nearest gas station, and to be safe, went to add some gas, it was completely empty! Only good news was the gas gauge seemed to work. the car wouldn't start at the gas station, so we had to jump start it.

We drove it approximately 30 miles to a friends house and started to see a lot of issues. The transmission was slipping, the AC didn't work, the drivers side tail light/brake light and signal didn't work, the drivers side door window didn't work, the headlights were loose and not sealed.

I called Mohammed and told him how much he flat-out lied about the condition of the car. He started yelling at me, so I hung up. He later sent a text offering to take the car back.

I took the car to the nearest *** the next day, Thursday, April 5th, and it needed $1,500 worth of work to make it safe and semi-road worthy. I then called Mohammed and said I would like to take him up on his offer of taking the car back and he said he would not do it. I said I had his text from the previous day saying he would and he just said he wouldn't do it and again started yelling at me.

I had no other option but to get the work done as that car was our way home. *** did the work, but expressed concerns about the transmission--they don't do transmission work there.

On Friday, April 6th I drove the car to *** who was recommended by a friend. *** said it would need at least $2,500 worth of work minimum--but probably more. They also said not to drive it for more than an hour because it was not shifting down as it should and was running very high RPMs--3,700 when it should be around 1,500 to 2,000 RPM's.

I left the car in Orlando and to cut my loses, will probably end up donating it as I can't get my money back, I can't sell it in the condition it's in.

We ended up buying plane tickets and flew home Saturday, April 7th instead of driving the VW Beetle home as planned.

I decided then that

Desired Outcome

I would like my 41,700 and taxes refunded to me. Mohammed R of ARC Motors lied about the condition of the car and continually lied to my face when I went to pick it up. I do not want to give them the car back unless they agree to pay the $1,500 of repairs I had done.

Car purchased via ebay - went in person to pick up the car and it was not as advertised. Dealer refuses to return deposit made towards purchase

Detailed Explanation of Complaint
To whom it may concern,

After winning this auction, on June 26th, 2017 I transferred $300 as deposit via paypal to the dealer. After getting in touch with them, we arranged that I would travel from Miami to Orlando to come see the car personally and drive it back to Miami. I asked to be picked up at the bus station and have the vehicle cleaned up, ready with all documentation as it was explained to me over the phone on what I should expect to receive, at this time I also shared that I would be paying with a bank Loan check from PenFed. I rushed to the bus station after work and get to orlando close to 9pm, I get picked 1 hr later by a 20 something year old in a Miata (I was expecting the Benz), he proceed to takes me to his father's dealer about 30 min away. When we finally get there and I check out the car, cupholders are broken, the literature that he promised (user manuals, etc) was not there or anywhere to be found and the check engine light was on (red flag, as in the ad it specified no issues).

At the end after many heated discussions about the lack of professionalism, they proceed to tell me that they will not accept my bank check, they will not sell the car to me, and that I will need to figure out what to do.

The police was even called in, for no reason, and there I was at 1am without a vehicle to go back to Miami. I had to take an Uber to the back to the bus station and go back to miami empty handed and mistreated by these unprofesional people.

At the end, the deal never fell through, and I am glad it didn't at this point. I do believe the dealer should refund their "dealer fee" of $300 which I had already paid as a deposit looking at the circumstances and their behavior. They should be banned from selling anything on eBay honestly. Terrible experience. Not to mention that I spent over 200$ going back and forth between Miami-Orlando and over 8 hours overnight of awful traveling.

I tried contacting the seller several times and he would not reply.

Please advise. At this point I just want my deposit back and walk separate ways.

Desired Outcome

Refund of $300 for security deposit made upon eBay auction ended. Vehicle not as advertised (Check Engine light on, cup holders broken, Documentation not available). Treatment as customer services was completely out of line.
