This email is in response to the notice of Revdex.com consumer complaint, dated October 5,2015 and received on October 6, 2015. Arcadia Solar had no involvement in the sale or lease of any of the products listed in the complaint. Arcadia Solar NV, LLC is a licensed electrical contractor,...

and was subcontracted by [redacted] a licensed general contractor, to install the photovoltaic solar system at the D[redacted] residence. We were subcontracted to design and install the photovoltaic solar system only, so we have no knowledge of promises made by the sales representative of Erus Builders in regards to LED bulbs or Thermostats. The leasing company that owns the solar system at the D[redacted] residence is [redacted] Energy Corp. [redacted] provides each lease customer with a power production guarantee and warranties all their solar equipment. So if there are any issues with their system, the customer will not be financially harmed for lost production. [redacted] also monitors the solar system to make sure it produces the guaranteed amount of energy. [redacted] never contacted Arcadia Solar in regards to any production issues at the D[redacted] residence. However, we have been contacted on two occasions by Mr D[redacted] directly. The first was on September 10, 2015 when Mr D[redacted] called and said that his inverter had an error alert on it. We had a tech at the D[redacted] residence the next day, September 11, 2015 and repaired the issue. The second occasion was when Mr D[redacted] called and left a voicemail over the weekend, on October 3, 2015. He also called back on the morning of Monday October 5, 2015 to say he had a similar error alert on his inverter. We returned his call the same day and left a voicemail to let him know we would schedule a tech to check on the issue. We were out at the D[redacted] residence the morning of October 6, 2015 (When we received the complaint) and repaired the issue. I spoke to Mr D[redacted] on the phone while our tech was at his house, and explained again that we did not sell him the system and so we don’t know about the promised light bulbs and thermostat. I offered him the phone number for the sales company, [redacted] Builders if he would like to contact them directly. The solar system is currently operating properly.

My system went down again on 10/21/15 and repaired again and on 10/25/15 it went down again. It is not Arcadia Solar they come and fix it it is the lease company Sonova that doesn't take care of its costumers this unit has not worked a hole month straight since it was installed. So what am I to do, I would like it removed from my home and my home restored to the way it was before this whole night mire

All the work performed by Arcadia Solar during the Service Calls was dealing with the inverter. The inverter was not supplied by Arcadia Solar and was under the manufacturer’s warranty, so there was no cost to the N[redacted]’s. Because of this, no quotes, invoices or other documents were required with the N[redacted]’s. Arcadia did explain the issue and what had been done to correct it at each Service Call. After each Service Call, the system was working correctly until the inverter malfunctioned again. Because Arcadia Solar did not sell the system to the N[redacted]’s or supply the inverter, the only action that could be taken was to diagnose each issue as they came up. Arcadia was not supplied or instructed to install any monitoring for the system, so there was no way to know if there were any issues unless we were called. The output of a solar system is based on the characteristics of the system, location and house. At the conclusion of each Service Call, the tested output of the system was correct for the N[redacted]’s system, location and house. Because Arcadia Solar was not involved in the sale of the system, or supplying of the panels and inverter, the only thing we can warranty is the workmanship of the installation. All of the production issues that the N[redacted]’s experienced were due to malfunctions in the inverter, and not to workmanship of the installation. If [redacted] made any claims to the long term production or savings on their electric bill, these would have to be addressed with [redacted]. As a subcontractor, Arcadia Solar had no part in them. Arcadia Solar InstallationsMatt Murphy

Arcadia Solar was hired as a subcontractor, by the general contractor [redacted], to install an 8.28kW Solar PV system on the N[redacted] residence. Arcadia with the solar panels and inverter to be used on the N[redacted] system. Arcadia completed the installation on 5/23/2014. On a few occasions the N[redacted]s called Arcadia requesting a service call visit due to issues with the inverter. Service call visits were all done within 72 hours.  The inverter manufacturer gave instructions on clearing the code, and the systems were returned to working order. On the 2/18/16 service call visit, the inverter manufacturer instructed that there was a fatal error, and that they would send a replacement component, which was received on 2/29/16 and installed on 3/1/16. The N[redacted]s were notified of the replacement. We were not notified of any further issues until receiving this Revdex.com Complaint. Upon receipt, I called Mr. N[redacted] to discuss his issues. He claimed that he was frustrated due to the amount of money he paid for the system, the inverter issues that had come up , and the lack of response he had received to calls made to his sales rep John G[redacted] and [redacted]. I explained that we were subcontracted to install the system, and had not been involved in the sale. I also explained that we had always responded promptly , and performed service call visits, even though we did not supply the inverter that was the issue, or receive any payment for the initial service call visits. He did not argue this statement, but he stated that he was still upset about the whole transaction, and that he would like to return his system and be refunded. At this point he told me that he had to go, and would call me back if he needed anything further from me. I have not received any further communication from Mr. N[redacted].

in future dealing with customers, leaving some form of documentation as to the work performed and parts replaced will be helpful.  We have yet to receive any documentation for any work performed on our system.  We have no real form of follow up that work is performed to fix issues. My second area of concern is the consistent messaging that our system was working when it clearly was not.  If you look at our bill, I was paying the same electric bill as I was before the solar system was installed.  My comments about the price were very specific to the fact I paid thousands of dollars to receive no benefit / reduction in my billing.  Insisting that my system is working and then stating they have made no claims as to what it will produce is a silly comment and argument to make   Each time they work on my system you will see a drop for a month or 2 then it goes back up to the pre-installation cost.  My frustration is not on claims concerning specific amounts, it is frustration that our system does not work most of the time.  You can clearly see that in my electric billing pattern.  [redacted] is in the process of installing a monitoring system to have a clear view into the working status of the system. Very unfortunate situation and result.

Arcadia Solar installed a solar system on my home. It is one of the best things I ever did. They were professional every step of the way. Everything was explained to me and the installation was perfect. There were follow up calls just to make sure everything was working well and to make sure I was satisfied. I have recommended

them to two other people and they also had solar installed.

Anyone who is getting solar installed owes it to themselves to work with Arcadia Solar Solutions. Every one that we spoke with in person or via telephone or email was courteous, knowledgeable and very efficient. If we had a question it was answered immediately. We were informed of every step of the process and advised when it would occur. As the installation progressed every time a process was completed, within a day or two, a person visited to check the quality of what had just been completed. It was a pleasure to work with such an outstanding company.

I want to take the time to thank everyone at Arcadia solar for making this the smoothest transitions! Thank you for staying in touch throughout the past few months in making sure we are happy customers! The installers were very professional and explained everything to us as well! If you are interested in going solar this is the company to go with! A special thank you to Jessica, Kate, Mallory, and everyone that helped us along the way! Thank you Arcadia!

A gentlemen by the name of John has helped me throughout my experience during the solar panel installation. Once the day came for the installation of the panels, he came and knocked on my door to see how everything was going. After a few days, the city came by to inspect and left a tag indicating it passed their inspection checklist. I can honestly say this process went pretty smooth and the panels were already turned on within a couple weeks after installation and I did notice a bit of money saved on my last bill once the panels were turned on.
